ive been trying to brain storm to try to get rid of one of the worst things in gaming history.
is there any way to eliminate or atleast decrease lag by alot? ive had a couple ideas, tell me if they're ludicrous or not: when the host clicks start game, instead of the game starting i think there could be some kind of loading screen that loads for like a minute before the game starts to sync all the computers together for like 5+minutes. i dunno if anyone has invented a way to do that yet though another idea was to have different chatrooms based on what part of the country you live in (east coast, midwest, pacific coast.....) lag will always be there^^
west coast, east coast??that idea is wash!they have it on Ps2 Online=Madden 2004 and it stills have lag  |
its not proven impossible to get rid of, therefore i will persue the elimination of lag forever!

pursue*
good thinking  |
The only way to get rid of lag is if everyone uses fibre optic cables, which costs way too much.
|
yeah^..and some ppl will not go out they way and buy it

even that wouldn't work, you'd need one hell of a long cable going between al of the countries that people pay from, which just cant be done. lag will never be stopped in our lifetimes. information just cant be transmitted, recieved and processed fast enough to get rid of lag. |
Listen kester a lot of geeks go out to maximise there lag on this so that they have lag.........
|
lagwill never go away you cant get rid of it i have f x-2 and i have lag so do you want to get rid of lag it cant
|
no offence but you guys are being too negative and narrowminded.
you accept somthing just because it hasnt been challenged. ill tell you somthing though, im gonna stop lag whether you think its possible or not! |

ture...even with the best cables connection possible lag will always be arround and packet will always seem to get lost no matter what...close everything you have running that you don't need running is the only way to reduce lag and have the CPU pay full attention to the game |
thats why im going to invent some new technology
|
[quote:post_uid0="kester-"]thats why im going to invent some new technology[/quote]

FIBER OPTIC = a ray of light that transport the data from one end to the other !
that is why it would be the best if the whole wide world was on that ! and it will come to that... most ISPs already have it. but it would costs thousands of zillions just to get it working on your end at homes. that even with all countries sharing their budgets wouldn't be able to make you do it. so to be honest... unless you find yourself a TECHNOLOGY that goes faster then the light used in FIBER OPTICs cables... i doubt you to even get close to find a solution that bring the data instantly from one house in CALIFORNIA to a second house in HONG KONG. to be honest the only way to get lag to be out of the equation is to have instant data transmission, which means the same nanoseconds it was sent, it was received by the other computer ! now that is not being negative, it is being realistick, which you seemed not to be at all ! by the way guys... i say this topic was created as nothing more then a spam to make us talk ! and you all fell for it ! |
