Lets just kill normal mode shall we.. I mean come on. No one likes to fight in slow mo.. Its like john woo and his wire team are at work.. when ever someone picks an fighter.. Sometimes not all the time he would accidently choose normal rather than choosing turbo..

I was wondering... if youcant or wont eliminate the normal mode.. Couldnt the turbo command be used for online play.. just like in story mode.

Most of sfo fighters lag hard.. and normal mode just kills all the fun and excitement when playing..

The host or player 1 could could only use this once in the game open up the chat box and type :/turbo1 or just :/turbo

that will fix up any mistakes made by your opp who ""accidently chose normal mode""

anyway just a thought..

I totally agree we should kill normal mode.

Ace_Trooper 04-17-2005 12:09 PM

"Normal mode isn't toataly usless, its how alot of new fighters slowly learn to use combonation attacks and specials."[I]

DarkstriderX 04-17-2005 12:13 PM

combinations... Sfo lags quite a bit so combinations are out of the question.. if youget a seasoned player in the corner and keep attempting projectiles or sweeps.. chances are hes on the other side of u gettin ready to launch a super. The only recorded "combinations " are with helpers.. actual fighters cannot i repeat CANNOT do combinations.. Well theres maybe 1 but i wouldnt really know.. since i never try to do the same attack twice.. within a 5- 10 second ratio..

even tho when u use fast char's like spidey,ryu..it slows their speed down so the opponent can see wat they r doing...

(~thug~) 04-17-2005 12:17 PM

I agree, Normal mode is to slow for me.

_dmx_ 04-17-2005 12:19 PM

Normal mode is useless due to the lag

DarkstriderX 04-17-2005 12:23 PM

although it could be an option for players who are just beginning..
Avoiding the word.. U know what im talking about..

Yeah normal mode is just too slow. In fact turbo isn't much faster than what you would expect normal mode to be in a game.

EvilAkuma 04-17-2005 01:35 PM

make turbo a little advance

Dark_Paladin_X 04-17-2005 02:23 PM

like ace trooper said. it can be used for beginners. so, i think. when ppl r in a hosted game, a beginner can choose turbo or narmal.

raddaman0628 04-17-2005 04:39 PM

i think he meant combinations of specials like teleportbehind near corner--->tornado kick---> uppercut

But yeah I think Normal mode should be killed, no one uses it that much anyway.

Ok, for those who do not even know the difference between NORMAL and TURBO... her eit is !

TURBO = FAST, LAGGY, BETTER CHANCE OF GETTING UNSYNCHED
NORMAL = SLOW, LESS LAGGY, BETTER CHANCE OF FINISHING THE FIGHT.

so between choosing turbo or normal, maybe you like lagging better just to have speed, but many of us rather have slow fights then hvaing darn fast very laggy teleporting like mad opponents !

thanks for hearing and i hope this explanation will make you understand more the difference between normal and turbo mode. also i hope you learned how normal mode is sometimes better then turbo mode !

PS: life is too short to be lived on high speed, slow it down, live it normally, slow down ! and don't forget to buckle up your seat belts !

My only nac with "normal" mode is the fact that when you do a super, the freeze frame is long. Otherwise, it's a give and take option.

alamgir 04-17-2005 11:57 PM

Yeah theres probably less lag in normal mode cos of that reason, because supers take ages.

DarkstriderX 04-18-2005 06:52 AM

well i guess thats settled.. thanx for your opinions and thoughts people.
