I posted this thread a long..................... time ago. I still think that it's a very good idea.

Just another suggestion, it'll be nice to have the option to assign and 3punch and 3kick button to the keyboard like most emulators do. That way, it'll be a lot easier to do the supers/super jump/dashes.

Allowing a super to be done with by pressing 1 3P instead of 2 different punch buttons would not really make the game much easier for button mashers. Anyone who throws a super by mashing will waste their super, and more importantly, eat a huge counterattack.
Even if you don't want this to be an emulator, it is still being played on a computer, with a keyboard. It does get frustrating sometimes when you suddenly throw a normal move instead of a super, even when you think you hit the keys almost simultaneously.
Besides, many people use 3K and 3P to jump and dash on the arcade and on the Playstation (even consoles have 3P and 3K buttons), and many keyboards simply won't register 3 keys within close proximity being hit at once.

So anyway, my main concern is that I hope to be able to dash with 3P. Having the 3P/3K buttons to do supers will only take down the frustration value of the game for players who know when to do supers, but just have trouble with the keyboard, not make the game easier for people with no technique. button mashers will have an easier time throwing out tons of supers, but that just means a more experienced player will have many more opportunities to counter such a wide openings.

yeah sure why not, i dont think it will take long for tmyapp to add this feature, and it wont do any harm to ppl against this.

hmm, this would work good for most ####s.... binding the super combination with one button. like... like pushing all the punch buttons to do a super, and pushing all the kick buttons to do a super jump.. that's for vampire ninja, he said he didn't know :biggrin: ...

Not a bad idea, i remember giving it 3 years ago... but the answers i got back then are surely to be the same.

we already can do the supers with only the use of two buttons and not three. so why would you want to reduce it to one button ?
it doesn't matter for me, a 3 button button or not won't make any difference now !
it does in emulators but not in here !

Yeah... it's a pretty good idea.. if we needed 3 buttons to do a super move.. and looking at what would have made it a lot better is if we were required to sacrifice one of our combination buttons to get it... but I guess it'll be useless now that we can use 2 buttons to create a super move :biggrin:

@ Karma:It's not all about the supers, my focas was being able to dash with it and super jump. This way less lag insted of haveing to press Down & Up to "Super Jump." When you do that it gives what I call "More Lag Time." As to when you only have to press one button. Also it will make button mashers on this game be at hardly any use. The will be smashing and have a 50% chance of doing a super jump or dashing right to you. Then you can just counter every thing they thow out at you. I was thinking mabe we could make 3K and 3P buttons optional to use. I sure would love being able to play with them though.

true that super jumping is kinda hard to make for me, it barely ever do it when i press the buttons. but still its how the game is and TMyApp is right, it's already easy so why would we make it even more easy ?
