if i want to find someones contact info, i have to either look for a topic or post by them, or i have to search page by page through the member list. This may not seem like a big thing, or something important, but it cant be that hard to put in, and it would save SO much time--it probably takes longer to find a member now than it would take to make the search function.

What do you guys think? and please, dont just post "what? i dont get it"

marvel911 01-15-2003 02:47 PM

What?..I dont get it (I'am kidding :alien: )..yeah it could be helpful after all there is one big list of members here..

Kingryu1 01-15-2003 02:51 PM

and only bout 1/5 of them are active. prolly not even 1/5 ???

(R)Dragon(R) 01-15-2003 04:05 PM

haolys 01-15-2003 04:41 PM

i thought about making a thread about this aswell but i didn't get around to it. we definately need this. great topic

Scorponok 01-15-2003 05:35 PM

<font color="blue">I thought their was a search engine. Do you mean just to find the member info?

viper2040 01-15-2003 06:35 PM

yes--just for finding a member, in the memberlist

BitXero 01-15-2003 06:55 PM

That would be pretty helpful

XCloudX 01-15-2003 07:39 PM

i guess that would be pretty cool

haolys 01-15-2003 08:41 PM

you GUESS it would be cool? it would be PRETTY helpful? have you ever tried to find info on a member whose name starts with a letter that isn't at the ends of the alphabet? it takes like 15 minutes to get to the middle of the list

it would be a quantum leap from the system we have working now. i want to see it done.... if TMyApp has time for it, of course. he does so much for us already. i'd hate to see him overworked so he can get BITCHED at by little newcomers and old power hungry pricks. so i don't want anyone to start flappin their gums about how TMyApp could do this so easily and crap like that.

i haven't seen any yet so i'm proud of you guys. but surely enough an inexperienced newcower or an old conflict hunter will come around to this thread. i hate it when it comes to that.

viper2040 01-16-2003 12:14 PM

haolys--TMyApp wouldnt be the one to do it. HTML isnt his thing--he tried to make us a VIP section and ended up taking away our posting priveleges ...he does a good job with the game, but LeftyFB is the mastermind of the forum

Give the credit where its deserved--too many people forget about LeftyFB.

bloodpack 01-16-2003 12:25 PM

how bout a member search in this forum just like when your looking for your rank on the top scores

enter the name then viola!

viper2040 01-16-2003 06:42 PM

um.....thats what we've been talking about, bloodpack

haolys 01-17-2003 08:55 AM

thanks viper, i didn't realize that. sorry LeftyFB, i sorta forgot about you. i'll be sure to mention you in future reference. is there any other forgotten heroes of the game that i've missed? really, i'd like to know. i'd like to give credit where it's deserved
