Yes, as many of you might already figured out, i love debating. i love the feel, the clash of intualects, and the feeling of being smarter than someone else.
so, i am requesting that we get a debate section, so we can devote it just for debates and current events. "why not just use the gerneral section?" why not? because, the general section is where people discuss who won the super bowl, who is gonna see the new simpsons episode, who wants to "feel their own energy". it is NOT the right area for those who truly want to debate. i dont know, at my current state (sleepy) i cant really type well. so, speek out on how you feel. |

Who said? General is for anything non-sfo related, A debate forum wont be looked at well, and mods will ignore it and flaming will increase ten fold. A defenate no =( but isnt BG supposed to be back soon, you can show your smart there ;] |
As said before, "This is a STREET FIGHTER ONLINE forum", I doubt it will be happpening anytime soon.

Most forums use the general discussion board as a debate forum, it isn't hard to get passed the "who won the super bowl", it will always be there, so use the general discussion board (by the way, "debate" means general discussion).

haha.. come now man.. that's why the Non SFO Related Section was created. So that issues.. whatever they may entail, that partains to the world around us, the world within us and the world far far far aways can be discussed, arguements can be started.. and the looser can start calling the winner a jerk and an idiot when he's run out of points :biggrin:

It's funny how you can tell how old an individual is just by the way they post.
I like the idea vf, but I agree wtih blanka and Sajin: 1. It will be hard to maintain a solid structure for the topics will always be ruined by 10 yr. olds with comments like "Bg. will be coming back Oct. 31st 2004"... 2. We have a general section for non-sfo related topics. However, I am finding more and more people spending their time conversing in the non-sfo related section. The Vets are getting older, it seems, and would like to partake in more meaningfull discussions. I'd like to debate who had the better wwII war tactics. I'd like to see if someone can argue that Germany's blitzkreig was inferior. |

you shouldnt debate on forums... why?
1. people tend to start insulting others, flamming 2. immature people tend to go off course and post something gay 3. most people don't even refer to facts in online forums. |

I think we should have this, this will be like where people can debate without people having to spam or flame. People can debate on what ever they want when ever they want.

Yeah.. the MasterDebator part.. and even so the point of ppl not spamming. What's stopping them from spam there.. when they can spam every other place on the forum.
I just don't see the point in creating an extra forum.. that's all :biggrin: |
