fought some guy today, he lagged so much, teleporting every 0.5 seconds like fear, hed go over my shinkuus like fear, sliding on one foot like fear
But he low punched. low punching I just hate it, its for cheap n00bs who dont know how to win except cheating. we need a limit, how about you can only low punch every 5 seconds. |

Thanks for starting this topic (I was too lazy to do it myself).
For some reason you can no longer block low punches. If you are ducking and blocking the other person can low punch you out of blocking and cheese you to death and it's f^cking annoying (when you were blocking in the first place). The only way out of it is to time a super jump cause the opponent is magically low punching left and right (dubya tee eff is that!?!?). Let's not forget about the infamous sllllliiidder punch (I had no idea sub-zero was brushing off on Ryu). I could just cheese right back but I'd rather earn an honest win without lag helping me. |
why dont u make the person move a bit back everytime he punches

THEY DO NOT NEED A TIME LIMIT! They just need a bit of recovery time which can't be done at the time, because TMyApp said so, so we are going to have to deal with it.

Well if app would fix the fighting engine this wouldn't be a problem. Let's look at the real game for asecond shall we. When you punch it hits just as hard and as fast as in this version except for you can do it over and over again to fast which makes it a combo. All you have to do is fix that by not just cuttind gown how much yuo can do it but by slowing down how fast you can press it again. You know what i'm sayin?

dont know what UMJ was talking about...
but it's true that the actual arcade game cannot punch infitely ! i mean that every punch has a knockback... punching 2 weak punch in a row bring you in a certain distance so you cannot do 3 times the same moves... that makes the combo cause you have to push different button, the game is not like KI... anyway there is an option to the actual problem of combo, and it's called blocking ! |
The knockback isn't exactly the problem, but you musn't compare this to the original game. This is meant to be fun, not to be picked apart by critics! ARGH!

yeah... the "push back" has to be tweaked for that move (i'm not sure if i have time to do that right now)
i can do a "quick fix" in the next version though (that should be released between tonight and the weekend)... slowing down the #### low-punch should help quite a bit people who do nothing BUT the low punch piss me off as well... so u can be #### sure i aint' gonna sit by and let them go on with their cheapness' :biggrin: |

FIrst off I am not trying to be a critic i'm just trying to point this out so TMY can make it more like the actual game. Not only is the low punch messed up but also the whole entire combo system. And SSJKarma was right, that's what i am saying. And not to mention the lack of air combos. always gotta mention the lack of air combos. What i think needs to be done is a indepth tweaking of the game system.

I already raised this damned topic a LONG time ago... for God's sake, keep up to date, xUMJx.
You do realize that if combos are added a new breed of cheap-assed one-steppers will be born: those who know only one combo. I don't see why the heck you should push for this so much when it will cause more lag to implement it! Geez, you do talk too much, and you make an ass out of yourself every time! Come, come, for a 'programmer' you sure as #### lack the depth and understanding of one! |

do you realize what you are saying ? do you really know at what speed those thing work ? a cpu can make over 100 million operation per second that mean a simple if then else statement wont do anything it would take up lots and i mean lots of them to slow down the thing !!! dont try to argue ok i understand what you mean but for i am a BASIC programmer and i know what i am talking about ! its not the fact that adding the lines will up the lag no it wont it will be just rearanging the game and tmy isn't at that stage yet, so just wait cause we are at about 3 years before the complete game ! for the third time its shockwave limits not tmy limits ! |

Now let me ask you a question, in the real game do they have those people hwo just use juset one combo? And arn't they easy to defeat? and whon't in'gs website have a huge complete tutorial of combos dan? You raised the topid Dan, and i'm bringin it back. hey u know what... UMJ is right.. i've been playing the vs. games with my friends and the combo system is different..... but i have no problem with that.. it just lets me learn more strategies... :biggrin:
