Well, u know how when a new char is implanted and u have to fully load? that's what happens whenever i get on the game....i dunno if it's my cache or what....but it always has to load like when a new char is implanted....what's up w/ that? :(

Ahem mr flyblaster you should now know that every time a character that tmyapp adds causes a archive to threaten any ones permanent history to be stored in their for safe keeping.Along with this he gives us a new kool character as well so there its not your cache just scan viruses sometimes..Any who some one will come behind me and say something as always... :alien:

what do you mean by fully load if you mean when you start it has to load my computer does that all the time but i dont care sometimes it fast sometimes not but i have a problem too when i go to a server or come back actually nvm

why do people that don't really understand this try to answer the question ?

answer:

you browser use the cache to store ALREADY SEEN web pages. those web pages are loaded from the CACHE (HARD DRIVE) if there was NO CHANGE on them. if the browser detect that the web page in the cache is too old, then it will all reload the cache (downloading the web site).

that is why sometimes it goes way fast then when update are met it just redownload the whole thing ! now the fact that the thing takes 15minutes to download is only because your modem is slow !

example:
56k phone modem = 15minutes/5mb
cable modem = 1minutes/5mb

now doe's that answer your question ?

K...this is wat u do....got to Tools>internet optins>it will say "delete files" " delete cookies" and " settings" click on settings.....then bring up the " bring up the amount of disk space to use to or above 5 mb's......what ur comp does is as soon as ur files exceed the amount of space given there, it delets all the files....and u have to load again when u play the gaem...this will prolly help !!! TRY IT...it worked for me...

Since I have a 2 hr. wait (on average when cache is empty), what kinda modem do I have??! :biggrin:

you probably have a 14,4 since it takes me about 30-45 minutes to get in game with my 33,6 when cache is empty ;)

anyway, it all depends on if you have only the game or if you have to download the whole shockwave installer ! then it takes way much more time than that !

the game is 6.72mbs...1mb downloads in 4 mins or so for 56k so it takes 24-28 mins for some(the game use to load in like 5 mins when it 1st came out,was only 1mb back then)the game gets bigger every update so it will take longer to load everytime....tmy you should update your FAQ page cause most of it is basiclly false now ;)

nferno666: i have a 33,6 phone modem and i never noticed any change in the game size ! it always taken me about 30 minutes to download the game when my cache is emtpy and it has always been like that even when there were just ryu in the game ! basicaly, i was here before the helpers and wolverine get in and i never notice any change.

you must have a really slow 33,6 then...cause 56 ppls downloaded the game in like 5 mins back then so 33,6 should be around 10 then. try updateing your modem drivers. that helps it out alot..tell me you model and i'll find them for you if you want

it is just normal that the files get bigger !

last year...
- only ryu and his moves
- game engine was not finished
- anything else wasn't right

this year...
- game engine almost finished
- 5 characters and their moves
- line of code = lots more of them

in the nutshell it is just plain normal that the file get so big... now imagine what will be the size of it when finished !

heh probably just as much as the rom or maybe even more or less

by the way it goes...
i would say more then the rom..

more characters, added helpers, more stages, more musics, etc...
