How come in all the older games and anime I've seen Ryu wore a RED head band, which was like supposed to be given to him by Ken. And now, he started having this white poop going on. Ever since that horrible anime Alpha, I've been noticing these things and they are pissing me off. Like, both Ryu and Ken had red gloves, but now, OH no....each one has to have his own style!
And what is with Ryu dressing up like Akuma,not hating on any one who likes Ryu this way, but I think that is so stupid! I can't believe that a single anime like Alpha would have every one bugging like this. Next time, kiddo, don't jump to conclusions. And as for you Razz... let me tell you about character development... Why would Ryu stop wearing Ken's headband when it had such sentimental value? That doesn't make sense for Capcom to just make his headband white all of the sudden and please do not say the SF: the animated movie had nothing to do with SF/CAPCOM itself because they had rights to how the characters were presented. I guess they just through Ken's faithful red headband out the window and went for a new look... Capcom has no shame... And instead of having Guile, they replaced him with Charlie... My only bit with that is the more popular Capcom is getting, the more culturally based they are. They removed Guile out of the scene, the Captain America of Street Fighter, and put in Charlie who doesn't get the job done. They also make Guile sound retarded now when he shoots his fireball. In the original Street Fighter 2, he sounded so cool when he threw that Sonic Boom. Now he sounds like the stereotypical American army man... how corny.. |

Well I know i'm a little late but to answer your question about why is ryu dressing like akuma well its because ryu learned the evil technique raging demon and can't exactly control it so he's evil nowbut although he is evil i still think he should drees his own way i mean he could use a white clothing with a black sign instead

Ken didn't really gave ryu anything, it was a style of his own. the movies you have seen aren't really going all togethert, except perhaps for that STREET FIGHTER 2 THE ANIMATED MOVIE... but then again, a few things didn't worked great here, example of guile not being able to hold his own against bison and the fact that KEN and RYU were needed to kill him ! sorry, but bison is strong, but not that strong. in any case... all that to say that KEN didn't really gave RYU that head band, ryu putted it there himself as his own style ! just like ken made his hair be longer just because it was better looking that way ! |

Karma, if you wanna talk about more BS in the movie, Bison says he will not use his Psycho power against Ken and Ryu... but if you were on the brink of defeat/death, YOU WOULDN'T USE YOUR SKILLS!? Did you notice when he actually used his Psycho power, he was destroying them both!
And about Ryu's white headband... I hate it. I hate how Ryu and Ken look like little kids altogether unlike the orginal SF2 where they looked more masculine. All these new looks I just can't adapt too. But then again, I love the SF2V series where Ken and Ryu look totally different but then again I don't like how they mention Ken is half Japanese... I don't believe in that part. Capcom should patch up these stories with the distributers.... |

Had nothing to do with the head band after that. Ryu should have a red headband, he looks better with it. And if Alpha is before SF2... and Ryu has a white headband.. that means he went from red to white to red... because before he was wearing any headband, Ken hooked him up (taken from the animated movie) |
where have you saw the ALPHA series saying it was before the SF2 story ?
because the alpha series is what the characters evolved into after all the SF2 events ! so basically RYU passed from RED to WHITE and that's all ! |

I liked the idea of Ken giving that head band to Ryu. It made the characters come alive. Every time you played the game and you looked at his head band you never wondered why he had it. In your head you knew were it came from! I just hate the fact that when a character gets big they always have to try to change him up, make him different.

And at this time Ryu is weakier than ken. kid ken does some sorta attack that knocks kid Ryu down some temple steps. kid Ken notices that kid Ryu's head is bleeding.....and he uses his very own ripped shirt head band to wrap Ryu's wound. Here is what I will say on behalf of Capcom in their defense... Alpha takes place before Street Fighter 2... maybe they were still kind've training? But even so, Ryu wasn't wearing a white headband before Ken gave him the red one. In Street Fighter III, Ryu has his red headband so it's not like Capcom forgot... just not following up on their movie, I guess. |
