Ok I finally got sfo working for me becuase I got a new computer and all. I downloaded the latest shockwave plug-in and now sfo loads up. Then I go to play, and well I select my character and then my opponent selects thier character then right before it goes to the fight screen a pop up comes and says "MSN Explorer has experienced a problem and needs to restart". I tested this out and every time I try to play, it does this stupid thing :( I just want to be able to play SFO like the old days. Help a vet out :)

Nferno666 06-01-2005 10:57 PM

use the download version...oe use ANOTHER browser since MSN Explorer sucks

alamgir 06-02-2005 02:45 AM

Just stick to good old IE.

Dark_Paladin_X 06-02-2005 03:56 AM

I prefer the download version since it has a less chance of not responding (like if IE does, it sometimes closes all IE windows).

Poeple have told me Firefox is good for SFO (though i highly doubt it.)

So that's what i suggest. :D

All though the SFO download is REALLY GREAT nice and fast less chance of glitches.
there is acouple things i dont like about it.
When u get kicked u cant refresh.
While your on SFO playing a game when someone IM's u or a new window pops ups then while im fighitng SFO minimizes (it messes up gameplay)
is there anyway to fix that?

joemax 06-02-2005 08:28 PM

I dont think you suppose to download the latest shockwave plug-in ...because i read somewhere here you have to have the old version of it...dont remember which version.... I think its 9.0..

TJ5 06-03-2005 08:47 PM

I tried it with IE, it kicked SFO off, I downloaded the game, microsoft kicked it off...... What is going on ? I even tried shockwave 8.5.

Nferno666 06-04-2005 01:18 AM

umm why error do you get using the download version...?

Vash 06-05-2005 04:54 PM

I think these solutions might work:

1.Refreshing game by pressing F5
2.update your computer
3.Restarting your computer numerious times or once try
4.Contact Tmyapp :cheesy:
5.download the new msn explorer

Well thats all I can tell you

TJ5 06-05-2005 07:06 PM

Everything is up to date right now with my computer. I made sure it was before I even started going on it for fun. So I dunno whats going on.... it works at school and thier computers suck..... :plain:

Dark_Paladin_X 06-05-2005 07:49 PM

lol. When worse comes to worse, school computers help :D

but ya, just try not using msn explorer. People CLAIM that firefox works (though i don't believe it). Why don't u just plainly use IE

™Ðéšólá†íóñ™ 06-05-2005 08:41 PM

:dontgetit: What I hate about the download virsion is when you put it on full screen it's still small with grey around it  also do any one have the download vision of teh first sfo? because I really want it :(

TJ5 06-05-2005 08:54 PM

I already previously said IE didn't work, Download version didn't work and MSN explorer didn't work.... + you can't get on the chat at some schools so you can only play sfo story mode.

Desolation, also if you want to ask about the download version of the 1st sfo make a topic about it, because I really want help with this problem I have and when I come in and see posts not even on the topic it bugs me -_-'.......

Yea u need check if it installed, then what u must do is click on windows firewall @ the bottom of the control panel, im sure u know how to get to the control panel, when ur there click on the exceptions tag and make sure SFO is checked, then click on advanced and next to your connection under NETWORK CONNECTION SETTINGS, then make sure everything under the Services tab is checked, then click the ICMP tab and check all of those boxes, and then try it again.... if it still doesnt work then click on tools, internet options, clear history, delete cookies, delete files, then go to advanced and click restore defaults, then restart ur comp if youWANT then try it again, after that....... i have no idea but just try it i guess..... :eh:

rapp122000 06-06-2005 05:06 PM

what you need to do is go on www.aol.com and go to beta aol products .when u get there u will see that aol has its own explorer so u should just download aol explorer and let it do its magic.NOTE DONT I MEAN DONT GET THE Regular AOL BEACUSE U WILL HAVE TO DOWNLOAD A LOT of THINGS AND WILL HAVE TO PAY A MONTLY FEE so just get the free aol explorer and enjoy your game play

TJ5 06-06-2005 06:27 PM

Rapper, read some of the posts in the topic please..... It's not the explorer anymore, it is my computer or something.. TremulantX thx, I will try this. It even stops me from playing story mode, right after I select my character the message pops up. Wierdness.....

fire fox is actully good fro sfo but i run into one problem
the screen is small and when u maximie it just sill the area around the screen wiht black so yea i guess ur right >.>

TMyApp 06-12-2005 12:53 PM

the error you are getting is definitely the msn browser crashing

... if reinstalling shockwave, trying IE (or another browser) or using the downloadable version did not help, then there is probably an issue/conflict with your windows

Vash 06-12-2005 12:57 PM

Do you have mac, linux, or window's?

TJ5 06-12-2005 08:44 PM

Windows, Tmy is there anyway you could come up with a solution based on all the given things I have said about the problem ? :(
