Thus you all have heard about Hurricane Francis coming to USA. but now you will hear more, Hurrican Francis is said to hit Florida...Citys its suppose to hit in Florida reach from Miami all the way to Jacksonville.....and sadly I live in the area where its suppose to hit.
Right now its a cataglory 5 hurricane, its worse then hurricane andrew in 1992 (Andrew cataglory 4...Francis Cataglory 5). They have closed the schools down for the remainder of the week and will be opened back on Tuesday if everything goes right. Right now, I plan to ride out the storm at my house. but we could go to some shelter, its still under consideration....I-95 (high way through florida) is said to be packed becuae of the evacutation route. I will tell you all about my exprience wit the storm (if i survive) :huh2: ...but until then.....i wish all the ppl in Florida (including Jerry18, Vash, Domicannkid) to good luck, :huh2: |
The hurricane is going to most likely destroy my house. My house has many windows and we are too lazy to put plywood on it. So we are just going to have to go to my cousins house where he doesn't have many windows. I just pray to god that the high pressure moves it North.

but you know what I feel safe because my dad's jod is like 25% puting up storm shutters but my Dad put up too many shutters My house is like a Fortress right now :whatsthat: don't get me wrong its a good thing and I feel safe :) but............. It's a little too dark in here...... it's like night time :sleeping:

I don't know.. when Charlie came, we felt the storm here, but the hurricane itself didn't reach my area.. I'm just hoping it doesn't cut out the power lines and such.. *sigh*
I don't mind school closing for a day or 2.. I mean.. who doesn't like that?? :biggrin: but in any case, my history teacher (a storm chaser/tracker) has been watching and predicts "bad" things in our future.. so yeah.. I guess all we can do now is expect the worst and pray for the best. |

You werent here for Andrew in 1992.....:( Right now, my house is pitch black. All the shutters are down and you literally have to use a flash light to see whats in front of you. Its starting to pickup some wind over here, at this moment Frances is in the bahamas, Cat Island to be exact. Channel 4 news say its going to hit florida sometime late Friday/Early Saturday, but we might now get a direct hit as they predicted. There are 3 main ways that the storm can gp right now, North ofus, South ofus, or directly at us. The hurrican can go alittle North ofus thanks to some jet streams. If it goes north, we will get some rain and wind, but up there by Orlando and Jacksonville might get it more then us, and some southern parts of Georgia. Also if it goes alittle bit south ofus, we will probably get alot of the damage, becuase the strongest part of the hurricane is the northern edge, outside of the eye's wall, and most likely if it heads south, thats the part were going to get. Well if it goes directly for us, then we will get probably everything....it will go through Florida and probably exit out of the gulf of mexico. Anything is possible, just like 1992's Hurricane Andrew....at the last minute it headed straight west instead of WNW and hit Miami/Broward County really hard. Although we are still in a Hurricane warning it is hard to say wat part of florida will get the harder hit. (IMO, we will) Some islands of of the coast is evacuted now, and some trailor parks are evacuating too. Also i just picked up on the news, that the storm has lost some power and is now a cataglory 3 hurricane, but it is more likely to pick up its power soon. If anything gets real bad, there a shelter at an Elemtary skool near our house, so i guess we could go there. |

I heard that it's going to hit somewhere at Atlanta Georgia. Dunno if it's the hurricane frances or the storm wind. but really i need info on Georgia.

I aint scared but the bad thing about is that the flooding.
on the the news they said 10-30 inches but more worst is slow. unlike the other 1 charley this one can cause flooding. Lucky I live in a 2 story house :) but ill miss school for like 2 weeks again |

Stfu, u werent here for hurricane andrew or probably any other hurricane, so u dont know the force/power of one. And yea, its hitting just north of miami, and they said that it weaken so it wont be that bad, but we still are gonna get some winds and rain. |

I live in Louisiana.. we have been trough alot of things.. and we've been really lucky in the pass couple of years.. and also this year with Charlie :biggrin:
So many hurricances were suppose to stab us in the back, but it seems like they always turn away from the state.. This year it was Charlie, he was coming straight for us.. but he then turn and hit flordia... I don't know if I would be able to live there.. The state gets hits by a hurricane each hurricane season... People that live there just experince a big hurricane (Charlie) and now 3 weeks later.. another one comes.. its so so sad..
