Building your own computer? whaaa?

Explain to me how this works.. |
Most of the stuff today just pops right into the mother board or can be mounted by screws.....no need to soder any boards or anything..

it's not hard at all. all you need is: Hard Drive Motherboard Memory CPU Case Video Card(some Motherboards come with some built it but it's better to buy a better one) Sound Card(same as above) Power Supply(if it doesn't come with the case already) Modem(dialup ppl) Network Card (broadband ppl, now these days this comes builts into the motherboard) that's basicly all you need to build yourself a *new* comp...you can transfer thing like your cdrom/burner/DVD Rom to your new one...even The HD if you don't want to buy one...you can transfer anything you like to your *new* comp as long as it still supported and if everything you have is good then you only need to get 2 things CPU and Motherboard. sometimes you might even have to get new Memory if your comp really is that old  but if it were me i would get me top of the line everything if i had the money(oh wait...my comp is good enough already  just need to get me a new CPU and Video card and that'll keep me happy for a few months untill a New CPU comes out  ) |
i donno how fast mine is(im to lazy to check )anyway i only know my fps on sfo is 35.6667

QUESTION: why are you so damn wanting a computer so big that it will cost you 1000$ just to upgrade your parts ?
i mean, 3200+ right, an intel 3000 cost something like 300+ $ a crappy GF4 you say... which type, cause i got a 4200 TITANIUM version which cost 202$ and is as fast as a GForce FX 256 card ! believe me, look at those 2001 benchmarks ! seriously, the GF4 series is still the best series up to now ! well if you are talking about an MX series now then i agree, changing maybe a good choice ! and perhaps an ATI RADEON 9800XT Pro could be great as well ! but that's something else ! here is what i got... MOTHERBOARD : crappy ECS P4VMM2 model CPU : INTEL CELERON 1.7ghz RAM : 512 DD-Ram (thinks its the 2700mhz model, or is it the 3200 one ? never mind) VIDEO : GeForce 4 TITANIUM 4200 64meg MODEM : crappy 28.8 phone modem flashed to 33,6 that can only connect at 31,2 and lower cause of the crappy phone line around here ! and guess what guys ? i can all the latest games full graphics ! i will update as soon as i am able to, but seriously, like my cousin, i don't know why wanting a computer you don't need and paying the biggest cost which doesn't really are worth it ! a 2600+ with 1gig of ram and a 256meg video card is great enough to be able to play all games for the next 2 years ! i think its enough don't you think ! |
heres waht i got, damn my comp is good *cough
