I conposed a theory gentlemen. If a player hosts a game. then there ping will be low (like 40-50) because they are the ones hosting. other who join will get a ping of about 400 or 500(sometimes even 1000, ) if they don't have a fast connection. Doesn't that techinally give player 1 the advantage cause of lower ping?
by the way gentleman, what's the best way of dealing with >3000 ping matches? |
"someone" read the FAQ :D

So the FAQ can tell me everything I need to know about this stuff? I sure hope so. Where is the FAQ anyway?

So I was right. player1 always has less lag. Can't the guys make more chat servers based on different reigons of the US so that we don't have to experience lag so much? If there was a chat servers based in Viriginia I would have at least 50 ping, without hosting a game. That would be a good idea cause I'm losing badly due to the fact that I can never hit my opponet when the ping goes past 100.

Yup..so from now on..always host! So you wont have to deal wit so much lag..for me the second round is always laggin if i host..if theres a 3rd round its like the 1st..if you get what i mean.. ;)

Different regions around the U.S., dreadlocks? You do realize SFO is played globally? I think we should have a server per continent or main country from polls or something.

Yes, Player 1 has the advantage of getting less lag all right...
But I got one problem myself. I can't host! Aww man... :( |
Hmm, I usually don't get lag in any of my matches, unless the player im playing is on a 56k modem where I find a bit of lag, not my self, but the person im playing, I see his Ryu on one side of the scree and he appears on the other etc etc..
I would say the hostee does gets the advantage. |
this has always been known...why do you think every1 wants to host...but unfortunatly the ppl with routers can't host :(
