.. Well I guess it's no longer new news..
But for those who do not know, :biggrin: there would be a Dragonball Z movie coming out very soon... and there has been a lotta speculations about who would play this and that but you can post your thoughts and comments here. The movie would be made by 20th century fox and the director is the same person that did Godzilla, the patriot and independence Ronald Emmerich day :biggrin: Expect mighty explosions! you know why ? because i took my facts ! 20century fox are the right owner and producer, normally they don't make movies that are that weak ! i think of XMEN that even tho it wasn't exactly the xmen like the series, they still have made it look like the xmen ! so DBZ is definite GO for them... the old JAPANSES movie that came out about 10 years ago was total bullpoop, but if someone can bring back the fame of DBZ in a live action movie, they surely can ! other fact i know... AKIRA TORIYAMA is there and will do the script and will help in making the characters ! so i say, if the creator itself is there, one more reason to believe in it ! cause he said himself that he does believe it can be done now that he have seen what the industry have done recently ! so i say, don't rate it now, just because other anime like SF failed. look at the company, look at th efacts and you'll see that this movie is far from going like the rest of the live action movies ! and if you want real facts and real news... go to the oficial site, not just stupid fan site ! here it is... www.dragonballz.com and click on the live action movie section i also want to notice you that funimation did a poll to see who would the public want to see as the main characters... VEGETA = JACKIE CHAN GOKU = JET LI that's how the poll finished ! for my part, i would really see the contrary ! jackie chan as goku would just make it perfect fit. and vegeta being JET LI is a perfect fit as well ! |

so take it like a man ! and no, GT is gonna sucks hard, why ? no more goku or vegeta, oh sorry, i must say that watching VIDEL (grand mother) teeching GOKU JR how to fight or fly is something they really really really shouldn't have made in the first place ! in 64 episodes, the author passed like 4 generation one after the other ! sorry, but with the end of DBZ, there was no more suite possible without making the series stupidier ! look at it and find me one thing that is great ? the 7 different shenlong that GOKU has to fight ? the fact he was reduced to a mere child and losed almost all of techs ? the going iunto SSJ4 ? come on, its not even like any other SSJ state so how can you talk about it that way ! the fact that even if he gets SSJ4 he still gets beaten like mad ! come on, he's gonna have to achieve what level before they say its enough ? sorry, the only thing i loved, was the BABY part ! that part was original like hell... but again, its like 20 episodes out of 64 ! nah, GT has been polled out and guess what, FUNIMATION said that the poll ended up like this... ** WHAT DRAGONBALL SERIES WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE AFTER Z ? ** - DRAGONBALL = about 4000 - DRAGONBALL GT = about 500 so guess what, i think people dislike DBGT ! that why it did't have that much episodes compared to Z which had like 291 eps in english ! and 271 in japanese ! for those who ask, the japanese ones were like 30 minutes really, not 20 like the english we have ! |

Their soul is cleansed and they get a new existence -in GT, Nappa comes back to life, and Dr. Gero lives in hell -in DB/Z, Toriyama states that a full-blooded Saiya-jin can NEVER change their hairstyle -in GT, Vegeta, who is a full-blooded Saiya-jin, cuts his hair and grows a mustache -in DB/Z, Toriyama states that because Gohan became Mystic at the end of DBZ (when he was given the powerup by Rou Dai Kaioushin), he can never go SSJ again -in GT, Gohan goes SSJ -in DB/Z, ALL SSJ forms have gold hair, blue/green eyes. In the movie, he is known as Master Lee -They made Buruma (Bulma) a fighter. -Hugh Jackman is slated to play Vegeta -There are supposed to be three movies, one each for Saiya-jin, Cell, and Buu sagas -There will be NO computer-generated characters. This means that Furiza, Cell, Buu....they'll ALL be actors, no CG here. Gawd.. Personally, I think that they should make the movie with REALISTIC animation, but not live-action. If they used the same engine that they used for the Final Fantasy movie, the DBZ movie would turn out a million times better than it's going to turn out. But that's just my opinion. |
i do agree with you that ts gonna be only half of what DBZ would really be if its a live action movie.
but like i said, don't give up guy. if its 20th century fox who has the contract, we will have a very good chance of getting a very good movie ! hugh jackman as vegeta ? man, i quite don't see him throwing a blast ! i mean come on... he did wolverine in cmen so i say yeah he got quite an super hero attitude. but throwing a blast is more like any japanese guys ! true that he has the right attitudes and feeling for it tho ! let's wait and see what will be coming on ! i just saw on the www.DRAGONBALLZ.com web site that there are many rumors going on, some being a truth, like the company responsible for the SPECIAL FX ! here it is, i quote it... for all the eps i've seen i always just saw him cut his hair and nothing more ! and yeah, they said that the hair never changes by themselves, he is born with those and will die with the same. never have they mentionned that the hair couldn't be cutted. i guess too that once cutted they don't grow back, so for them its a big THINKING BEFORE DOING thing ! i putted some links to forums i've found, nothing but rumours, but funny as it can be look at the cast the guy think should be in the movie ! I have been to millions of DBZ Sites back when I was really into DBZ and there is a set amount of time it takes for the hair to grow back and yes they can chage styles damn... it just grows back after so long I dont remember the exact ammount of time but it was around 10-12 hours btw tuko you really need a life... |

sorry, trunks, but your wrong. Once in sayian is born, their hair NEVER grows. The amount of hair you get the day you are born, is the same amount you will always have(unless you cut it)
Now, I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that one of you think there hair style can never change. Well that's wrong. I highly doubt Nappa was born bald. |
