[color=#000000:post_uid10]I have a strategy with Ryu. Here's how it goes...
sdo sdo sdo sdo sdo sdo and repeat... (on the right side) sao sao sao sao sao sao and repeat... (on the left side) but, there are some tricks to this that will win you the game. The following: press sdo,(Ryu shoots hadouken) now while Ryu is shooting his hadouken: press sdo and he will release another hadouken [u:post_uid10]IMMEADEATELY[/u:post_uid10] and i mean it. This small fraction of time will help you make contact with a player during a hadouken showdown or similar. Also: During the hadouken that levels you up (one every 6 or 8) press the button combo for shinkuu and while the hadouken is traveling toward your opponent the special cut scene will commence. If the hadouken connects the opponent will be at the mercy of your shinkuu, which will follow immeadeately afterward. Its like... a DOUBLE WHAMMY! If you read this and understand:post here and try to further explain what i missed. Lets see.....what you are saying is that right after you press the command for a Hadouken, press it again to do another one right after it. Not to sound mean or anything, but i'm sure that people know that. It's not a good idea to keep doing Hadoukens back to back though. As for the Shinkuu Hadouken right after a Hadouken, I see where your going with that. If a Hadouken hits, it is a good idea to do a shinkuu hadouken right after since your opponent won't be able to block, but then again, there's the "lag factor".:)

apparantly u have never played people who know how to dodge/block jump, and own u from there.. the real stratagy for Ryu is - to keep moving and to make direct hits. |
no no no hadoukenman you press sdo ryu shoots hadouken. NOW halfway in between the time from the hadouken released to where youre allowed to shoot another hadouken you press sdo. NOW Ryu will shoot a hadouken as soon as he is done shooting that first hadouken. so you press sdo b4 the hadouken is shot. If you dont get it then you will have to challenge me to a game or something...you just have to be able to see it in action. its hard to put into words

but it still does a lot of blocking damage...most of my wins are through blocking damage mainly and of course...laggers |

Well, I wasn't trying to sound mean, but if someone gets K.Oed from blocking damage, that means that they would've had to block alot of projectiles. It also means that there were very little punching and kicking in the fight. Its not a good way fight if you ask me. The only way to do Hadoukens as fast as your saying is to do them in the air right beside your opponent, and then press the Hadouken command right after. That way, you can do 3 or more Hadoukens in the air. Too many Hadoukens can leave you wide open for attacks though, like while your doing your barrage of Hadoukens, someone could do a Super Optic Blast, Shinkuu Hadouken, or even a Statis Field. :confused:

well... they dont really get KO'ed from blocking damage but the total amount of damage blocked takes up about 1/4 of their health from an average user

well when facing the sentanal with ryu jsut use the "footh typhusion" as i call it and boom and cant defend against it ad they die and you win fast but ya gotta do this when your in the air to so they get hit more and more and more and die.

Um, let me rephrase what you said....Because of Sentinel's size, its easy to capture him in Ryu's Spinning Kick super(Tatsumaki Senpu Kyaku). Most of the time, if it connects, the opponent won't have time to react, since Sentinel will be caught in the super. You will also get all the possible hits in if you do that super against Sentinel. As for the regular move, it's good against Sentinel because again if it connects, you'll get in alot of hits, and you can follow up with a Shoryuken.

lol senitials... if it's not a SUPER PRO, then you should be fine with Ryu...
just highjump ya way over and start the strong kicks.. then switch over to small shoryugens and then yeah.. you guessed it ShinShoRyugen... *bam* match over |
Yea, your right. In a Sentinel fight, all I do is get in close, and do a barrage of strong high kicks, medium low punches, spinning kicks, and shoryukens. I may even jump up and do multiple hadoukens right beside sentinel, resulting in about 3 or more hadoukens at a time. He's just not a hassle, unless your opponent has a good connection, or you're getting beamed to death. :confused:

if youwant a fast level up.. high jump to ur opponents side and start doing houdokanz rapidly.. ifur good at it, u will have enough power to give ur oponent tha first $uPeR hit.. rapidly means,uhmm u will be able to do 6 houdokans in 1 jump..

cripwalker, that will NOT work unless your against a ####ie.
nor ifur talkin about gettin against the wall about scorin about 10 hadokens b4 u fall to the ground, even then players like omniryu, dark-invader,liquidsnake(with some $ and $hit like that), ryusinvasion,tidus2k2.. me... ect :biggrin: we'll jump to that side, facing you, and do a Shink Hadoken on ya. and that's not very fun :biggrin: |
hug the wall with hadokens if you now how to do it.
hard kicks Corner trap and supper uppercut special. Super jump and Shinkuhadoken - on there screen youll lag teleport to the other side and they cant block it, or rarely. ground shinkus when some1 is hadokeing in the air thats pretty much all you need could go into to more detail but theres enough there. |
To sum it all up, sentinel users are easy to beat with Ryu and you'll probably have no trouble whatsoever in defeating one... maybe unless ur against TAKEOVER or something

wouldn't that also just be cheap, if you do hadokens over and over again.
@ThanatosDead- Your best bet is to try different tatics with other character instead. |
