and a few other characters that arent in the orginal in the select screen? Will this turn out to be a semi mugen type game?
great work btw:) |
"semi mugen"? No. Semi "Marvel vs. Capcom 2", YES !! (I would think that the "hyper" sequence with a picture of a Ryu in a triangle moving in the back would have been a dead giveaway of that)
The reason why you see CA, and Spider/Iron/Ice Man is just to show the people that there are no limits to how many (Capcom) characters can be added. I personally would love to see all of the X-Men characters ever created in here :) This will start as XvsSF game, but, who knows where it will end up. Still, don |
But does this also mean you're going to add in more Streetfighters that weren't in XvSF? We need Sakura and Dan for starters!! It also seems that you've dropped Akuma/Gouki, as his selecting box was where the other four character now reside.
But... Iceman? ICEMAN!? -_- |
This seems to be more like X-men vs Marvel Super Heroes than anything. :(
Yes, the marvel characters tend to be less precise than the Streetfighter characters, which lends itself to the limitations of the online play - but with characters as overwhelminingly spazzy such as Wolverine you could be kissing goodbye to the last breath of strategy that the game had. I would have thought that Ken+ Akuma would be some of the first ones you'd work on, as they share graphics and patterns with Ryu, and characters such as charlie or chun-li would add a LOT to the play style (some charge moves, some aerial supremecy, etc). I think this is a great project - brilliantly ahead of any other online web-game, but I don't think opening up the character roster to votes is the way to do it. Not unless you want to make Cheap-men vs Mashfighter.... Game Balance, alas thou hast forsaken thee! --dock |
Dach: Actually, Zangief has been dropped. Akuma is now in his place. As for iceman, if no one continues to vote for him, I suppose he can be replaced.
Dock: You make some good points. But, I have made a |
Bring back the 'Gief!!!!!
We need a grappler On this game. no, Juggernaut isn't a grappler. |
please!! for gods sake!! dont take my ken away!!

Ken and Ryu are pretty much the same #### character. I would hope they add some more diversity in character selection before they even consider adding Ken.

not everyone feels like you do
alot of ppl rather play with ken then ryu |
TMY i just found out what erik meant by semi mugen
MUGEN is a 3d game engine that u can make your own fighters moves and even backrounds and sounds... basically make your own game i just got the program this morning and its pretty kew1 just dont know how to work the #### thing =( im tring to figure it out thoe =) maybe the proggie might help speed up ur character proccess |
Lord: its not a 3d engine. ITs just a normal fighting engine. It was released back in Aug 99(I think) and i have been loving it ever since.
Here are the main links, If anyone wants to try it out. **WARNING** Its not an easy thing to get started in. Once you figure out the main issues, it does get easier. Its nothing like this game though. anyway: Elecbyte: the main site You can get all the main files for playing. http://www.elecbyte.com/ |

I just thought - why didn't you make MSH Online instead, T? You said you're baised towards the Marvel characters, maybe that would've been better for you to do?
