Now i dont have to wait for some of the top players, who are never in the room, to get more pts. again good idea.

It's be cool.... but if its implented, the push over n00bs will keep sayingt"fight me" and then they will say bet a certain amount of points or your a chicken

I do not think that this options should be added! Because then "Good" players" can just ask "Bad Players" that they'll bet them 2000 PTS.(Any person can have atleast 2000 PTS.) And once the good person wins, they'll get free 2000 points...

Then we wont have to fight "Hard" to gain points.. it'll just be bonuses and bonuses, and maybe the Rank Engine will get even slower...

what the #### are you guys talkinga bout? this idea is cool. None of the people that are in the top 50 or even in the top 100 wants to fight me because i am ranked 2395. How can i get into the higher ranks when you people dont want to fight someone like me. I think its is completely fair. People now wont look at my rank and wont fight me. Betting is cool. i do agree with you. the betting system has to be Limited to amounts of pts, that is how u will stop cheaters.. bu then again. how can uget on this?? #######, what are you talking about? where did you get this number 2000? You mean by "good players" as in those who are in the top ranks (50), and bad players are the rest of the people that play this game, which is a whole lot people! Do you know what a bet means? it means that both parties have to agree on an amount of pts or assets that they are willing to lose on an outcome of an event(s).
I think this betting system that Averageplayer is suggesting will benefit BOTH as you termed it,asshoel,

What did you mean by "free?" You still have to fight for the points. And you will not be getting the points for free. The points will simply be transfered from the loser to the winner, just like how it is now. But this time around with the betting system, someone with a higher rank will be getting more points from a newbie or someone who lacks skill. I think you are seriously missing the big picture here. This betting system will hopefully bridge the gap between high snoobie rankers and willing low rankers.

I dont know if Averagefighter thought about this, but not every fight HAS TO BE wagered. The betting system can always be optional. You can simply play the old point system we have now.
I think we need more ideas such as these, like clan wars (which probably has been criticize when first introduced) will keepthe game fresh and to keep the old players playing and entice the new ones.

I think once the game is completed and all the characters have been added and such, then the betting system will be a reality.

Hmmm....interesting concept. I think it's a good idea because it gives higher ranked players incentive. The round could be initiated by the challenger betting a limited amount of his/her points (a 1/3, perhaps), and then the challenger could accept or counter-offer. I also think that multipliers should be added to characters like Wolverine (X1.25) and Chun-Li (X1.5). This would make ppl actually want to use the other characters, and that way we wouldn't see nothing but Ryu in the top 50. Incentive is a good thing, in my opinion. Without it, nothing will ever change for the better.

i started this topic like 4 months ago......was good idea but the bad thing of it would be newbies cheating by letting there friends beat them so they could get in top 50's fast...

i just thought of something. this betting system will now allow us, the people who play this game, the FREEDOM to decide for ourselves how much points a match should be worth, and not the default setting. We will now have more controll of the points and our desire to get in the top ranks.

I mean, people that are ranked really really low, dont even care about their ranks, so if they win 2000(or what ever the bet is) it'll be good for them, but if they loose the match, then they wouldn't really care anyways. Because I said before, anyone in this game can probably have over 2000 PTS atleast...

And to tell who are the "good players" and "bad players" is SKILL!!!, not rank.

And Nferno, he is saying that me, you and TarkanX have 2 computers, so we play our-self all day and get high ranked... But tell me one thing, how can I get this kinda rank with only 456 wins? huh MVC?

And Tarkan has 1216 wins, which is not hard to get for a really good player like him... Even Pro and dark-link have over 1000 wins, do you think they cheat? NO!!!

And others like Gothic Archangel and Pakistani have almost close to a 1000 wins, do you think they also cheat? NO!!!, they just play all the time I guess, and didn't TarkanX, Nferno and others play you everytime you asked?
