the only thing i can think of is that the "helper" bug is still there (but it shouldn't be AS bad as before)... and, when a VIP members joins a private chat server, it says "(rank: pxvip)" instead of "(VIP Member)"...
feel free to post new/old/most-anoying bugs here... (and post them ONLY ONCE !! ) :biggrin: also.. it looks like the "profanity filter" is a bit screwed... u can't type weird things like ".cyberfuturism" and so on... so.. if u find that u can't type something (that is NOT profanity) .. Well,when i was playing the game a few minute's ago i
coulden't use hadoken's,over and over i tried to use them,but they didn't work,do any other's have the same prob |
helpers dont work in practice mode.. they dont hit ur opponent..
and nothing is different about the practice mode |

well my comp starts freezing everytime i do a super and it crashes this happened when the 0.6 came out

Aaargh!!! NO! This bug SUCKS! :D I cant tell beginers the URL to Projectx.cyberfuturism.com. (for those that are accessing some other way)...or my own site for that matter. :( |

again, same bug i have been knowing from the very first time onslaught came in practice !
he is invincible during ALL his attacks except for the giant beam ! i was hitting him hard then he made a super and my kicks were hiting air then once he finished his attack i was able to hit him again ! anyway... i killed him this night, but i had to resolve to cheapness has hand to hand combat is next to impossble against him ! |
The blocking bug seem to still be there. When ever someone does a super it always seems to hit me. :angry:

In the first round of practice mode everything was fine until round 2 and 3. I wasn't able to do any supers until the round with onslaught.

when i was playing, and i was using psylock, she didn't even hit my opponent. She went right through with no damage at all.. :( :angryfire: i hope its not the same with other helpers.

The technique use is different but the results are the same....wolverine takes little to no damage. Or Ryu users that jump left to right Fireballing or kicking madly,beween jumps. It's like people have learned that punching the crap out of the buttons creates a "LAG-shield" However, I beleive 2000warrior may be right in implimenting a cap on Cyclops "standard blasts"...lets say 5 blasts,and then Cyclops "Wipes his eyes in pain"...or preforms a different move. Something to create a small delay in his onlaught of blasts....just long enough to allow a sync between the players. |
Funny, nosoul, I posted the same exact Cyclops problem in the General Comments/Strategies section, but none of the mods (save 2000warrior) has even noticed it. But you are correct about the Cyclops blasts, they're out of control.
I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, but in the practice mode, the computer never runs out of helpers. The number of times they can use their helpers never goes lowe rthan four, and there have been times where the computer would use Shumi GOrath over 10 times in a single match. |
about the helpers, it also doesn't work in online games either :( i tried it when a person was doing a super, i think it was chun-li, and the helper went right through and did no damage... I had to take all of chun-li's super....

I find it strange to say this... but I have to agree with Nantuko Joe about Cyclops' Optic Blast. Although I don't agree with limiting moves, I'd like to see it slowed up a bit (as what happened with the Optic Sweep).
There's just too many people who can/will take advantage off attacks that allow little/no recovery time between shots. The LP Optic Blast leave almost no time to block in between, effectively allowing some cheap #### to hit a lot of damage off of an advancing opponent. Not only from actual hits, but a lot of block damage is taken off of this... almost as much as someone who knows how to fight will take off of the cheap player once they do get close enough to "fight back" before the cheap player triple jumps to the other side. To add to this, the HP Optic Blast doesn't (and has never) allowed any time for anyone to defend in between attacks. In this way, someone can easily KILL someone else who simply gets unfortunate enough to get caught in mid-air, and get hit once by this attack. The speed in between these moves are making it increasingly difficult to uphold a steady "balance" between any character vs. a Cyclops player, and is easily and regularly expoited by the ######s of today. ...ah well, who'm I kidding, it's for the people who don't know how to block that need this... :biggrin: On something else I've mentioned before... for some reason, when i enter practice mode, everyhting is fine until the end...
the charecters say there thing, then it freezes repeating the prefight music over and over again (in a wierd way) |
like no soul said.. when ciclops does the optic blast 5 times. his glasses could come off for like a min and then he picks the glasses on again..
or when u pick ciclops there should be an energy bar.. so the more u use the optic blast the energy bar is gonna come down.. till u dont have any power 2 use it |

:D yes but like you just said...you still take alot of blocking damage over time. As well as any direct damage you receive. combined with the nullified close combat (cuz you cant hurt him)...ya pretty much screwed. Not always...but often enough to make it aggrivating as hell....of course thats the player...not the character. The only way to stop the player is to make it so cyclops cant blast over and over again infinitly....thus make him preform a diffent move when he hit's his cap. ####'s would eventualy learn that cant just hammer the optic blast. The "wipes his eyes in pain" idea is actualy a Dead Or Alive 3, technique. In DOA3, when a player hammers the same move over and over again...they preform very effective 2-7 hit combos if they connect but then "pause" or "do something stupid"...like taunt or preform a move that leaves them wide open for an attack....very similare to Cyclops "quick attacks". I love the speed and efficency of Cyclops' blast...I wouldnt change it, if a cap where implimented. With out a cap...the obvious solution is to extend the delay between blasts....but by doing that, you retard the effecency of Cyclops blasts. If his blasts where slowed His close combat moves would need to be improved upon. (wich I think he seriously needs anyways.) Currently Cyclops is unbalanced...his blast are easy to connect with...his close combat requires practice and skill,,,and beginers always take the easy way out...then they learn to play the game improperly...and capitalize on those techniques. |

sometimes helpers have no effect on the oppenent, they pass right through it without inflicting any damage :(

in story mode, whenever you face wolverine and he blocks your special his power regenerates. I think it was warrior who mentions this in the post, but he didn't say for story mode so just makin sure. Anyway, b/c this happens (and the cpu practically blocks everything in story mode) the only way to beat him is to just chip away at him while he's blocking until he finally stops blocking.

Yes... he regenerates in practice/story mode, but just doesn't take damage in normal game (against other players).
I was mistaken... it's not P4 sensative, it works on both. On another issue, I think I know why the helpers don't affect your opponent... It's based on the other helper. I've "tested" Blanka, Psylocke, and Juggernaught on this, and they all turn out the same. They do work against any opposing character, except when the opponent's helper is Guile or Venom. The game screen? It can be resized when you play it off the internet, but dang it is slow. You need some glasses if your eyes hurt after only 12 hours..

i play it on the net constantly now even when im in here im playing it so i think it should be made a little larger an option for machines with a higher spec :)

Well, today, my opponent was player 1 wolverine, and i was player 2, also wolverine.
Anyways, at one point in the match, we both berserker barrage Xed at the same time. Then, we both quickly hit the buttons for helper. And that's when the wierdest thing happened. His helper was captain america, mine was that school girl that looks like some1 from sailor moon or something. When we both summoned the helpers, his came and hit me, mine came and hit him. Anyways, when the helpers hit us, they sort of froze right at us. However, WE were still getting hit. So my life just continualy kept on dropping down like a rock. However, everytime his helper hit me, my combo meter went up, So i guess my helper was hitting him too. However, cause his helper was frozen right at me, my life dropped down till I died. I think this is a pretty serious bug. I mean, I got killed just cuz we both summoned our helpers. I have one more bug, although I'm unsure whether it is, maybe it's just an extremely rare situation. After I beat him everytime, we had several rematches. I always had that sailor moon school girl helper (whatever the hell it is). However, when he choose his helper and fighter at the selection screen, he Also had the sailor moon school girl. I thought maybe it was just a graphical glitch. However, once the fighting began, and we summoned our helpers, indeed they were both that sailor moon school girl. Again, I'm not sure if this is a bug or just a graphical glitch, but i've never seen this happen before. |
that freezing helper thing also sometimes happpens with wolverines bbx. I pushed the buttons for his bbx just as my opponent (cyclops) was getting ready to do a special. I was a little back and only got one swipe off (which missed) and then was hit by cyclops special. But, the animation of the claw swipe stayed on the screen. Ok, big whoop, but then the guy walked cyclops into the swipe and he lost health like the swipe had hit him! After he got hit once the animation of the swipe went away. So, i dont know what this means, i guess you should see if this happened to anyone else, too.

<font color="blue">That kind of thing happens quite often for me with Ryu, he does a hadouken, but it's stationary, stays in one spot the whole time while we fight. Then, if I touch it, I get hit and it goes away. That school girl that looks like somethin out of Sailor Moon is Sakura.</color>

I played today, but when I did, the helper went RIGHT THROUGH my opponenet. So, if i'm stuck in a hyper, i have to sit on my ass, watch myself as I take full damage, meanwhiel my helper has missed and just passing through my opponent. MEANWHILE his helpers are hitting ME.

the blue and brown one cant slide but the red and black one can. whats up with that? and all this time i thought i was doing it wrong. |
i got a big prob! Every time i play any kind of game, it always freezes! I don't what the problem is :( ??? plz help.

Solid, both blue and brown wolverine's slide claw work fine to me.
Oh yeah, there's this wierd bug i've noticed. Quite a few people (and even myself in a few instances) have chosen our desired character, but then we end up getting another character totally. Our cursor is over our character and everything, but we get someone else entirely. It's a pretty wierd bug, I mean, a whole different person is poping out of nowhere. |
