now here are sum things for noobs and old pple here[vets]:

wolve vs ryu:
dodging the hadouken can be easy [blocking if thats what sum of u do], but these should work. super jump into the air, drill claw and come down with a p3[works with shinku-hadouken] or if your close to ryu, drill claw is the fastest counter. especially for that spining kick.

wolve vs chun-li:
this may be a bit hard but the trick is to keep her on the ground. sum chun-li users tend to be in the air most of the times. just do combinations moves and berserker barrage x to keep her down[berserker barrage x can counter that super kick move on the ground].

wolve vs cyclops
this is easy. perform the same tatics for ryu and dodge the optic blast which is easy.

wolve vs sentinal
for this big tin giant, stay close at all times. a skilled sent user knows to keep distance and attack upclose when the oppurtunity is avalible. remember, rocket punch is the best tatic to keep you back.

wolve vs wolve
now for this, you want to make the first strike and show no mercy. wolve is weak against his own attacks, so aviod most hits as possible.

now the combinations:

-super jump in the air, drill claw, and come down with p3[or high punch]. a classic teleportation move :D .

-hit med punch as many times as you want and finish with a high punch.

-hit mid kick twice, high kick while crouching down, high punch while still down, and berserker barrage[or berserker barrage x].

-hit high kick whlie crouching down, high punch while still down, and berserker barrage.

-hit high kick while crouching down, slide, and berserker barrage[or berserker barrage x].

-if caught by wolverines tornado claw or berserker barrage, chun-lis kick[while standing still], ryu spining kick[normal and super], drill claw is the best counter.

nuff said.

Well,Wolverine against ryu is HARD,if u dont know what u r doing,and if ur a smart ryu player,and u see him do a drill claw across the air after ur hadoken,do the uppercut move. You will both get hit,but it throws wolverine away. and then when wolverine is going down,do the hadokens.

now after that upper cut move, do drill claw again. so while they doing hadouken in the air, ur moving to the other side of the screen. and they have to be on the ground to do that upper cut move.

wolverine is the best to use in pratice mode as a second character for onsulaght. The reason why is if u noticed that your 2nd fighter has a low tiny bit of life, but if u get Wolverine all u need to do is the killer insectent the down back 2 kicks over and over (dont worry about the com they will just block as always) and do this until u get full life. Then u can actually use him if u get bored or annoyed by onslught with only his supers. Plus u can have unlimted supers :D

well you have some similar tactics that i use, but you leave his berserker slash and his irreplaceable slide out of your move list a lot. anyway, tactics agianst onslaught: get in close with the slide (doesn't always work) and barrage over and over so he never has an opening to launch his moves. If you have a hard time gettin in close, use the berserker slash to cover the screen quickly in between his moves and start the marauding.

PS - snake, next time i see you, id like to see you fight, either to get pointers or just see if i can take the masta. deal?

be4 the update the sentinal had the advantage with that one hit kill move but now wolveirne is better

here's another tatic, but only if you know how to get dr. doom and you must be at lvl 2 or higher:

call out doom the IMMEDIATELY do berserker barrage x. now if you do berserker barrage x twice, damage will be greater thanks to doom. up to 50 hits.

Wolverine gets owned by every character(except MAYBE onslaught).

Wolverine vs. Ryu

Ryu does keep away, Wolverine in this game is so slow, and his berserker barrage X is so useless, drill claw is useless, sliding is the only thing you can do. You can mix up a drill claw in the air, come down, HP, slide, but that won't do much against average players

Wolverine vs. Chunli

Wolverine gets really owned in this fight, Chunli does lightning kicks all day, and with Wolverine's poor defense, kikoshou on Wolverine = almost R.I.P.

Wolverine vs. Sentinel

Wolverine can win, but it's doubtful against a Sent expert, sent will just jump over(while blocking) his berserker Barrage, run away, and throw rockets with a punch, Wolverine can't get through Sent, unless he slides

Wolverine vs. Cyclops

Cyclops does optic blasts/sweeps all day, Wolverine can't do anything, so Wolverine loses

Face it, Wolverine sucks, choose another character until Wolverine gets Weapon X. Though Berserker Barrage X does insane damage, it's useless if you can't connect it, and healing is useless with it's power rate, and against a raging character.


Though... if you have Dr. Doom as your helper, you can win, only if Wolvie has D. Doom.

that's true but if you are a really good wolvie user you can probally beat anycharacter. saying good with wolvie not meaning beserker barrage everytime. for example Ryu's Hadoken if you do it on time it can stop Wolverines special but do hadoken and Beserker barrage is gone.

no hadouken can still block berserker barrage [and berserker barrage x]. but speed counts. just keep doing drill claw until u get him.

yep have to agree with tarkan there, wolvie is #### in this game

his recovery time from attacks are so fckin slow, which leaves him open for attack. BBX is #### cause it rarely connects and lag fcks it up real bad. wolvie is #### in this game. he needs to be a LOT more faster and his BB and BBX needs to be a LOT more faster, with instant recovery times.

tarkan, you have some good points, and i agree with all of them except for sent. once you get to the inside of sent, you just have to jab, barrage, jab, barrage, so he never has an opening. Plus, just b/c wolvie, can get owned by the other char., doesn't mean someone with some real good tactics won't win. I've won a few tough matches (and got crushed in a bunch also), so it kinda evens out. anyway, i just think wolvie has a pretty easy time against sent.

i bet u didn't kno that wolvie can block specials, entirely... meaning that if he blocks a special attack, he collects no damage (until he fights himself, which he does take a little damage seeing as how he is weak against his own attacks)

where you got that from? i certainly don't know.

sometimes, the specials heal him. they even give him back health past the red bar.

its true. blocking can make the special nothing.

Sent blocks the jab(s), and jumps over. Wolverine has delay when about to do berserker barrage, giving Sent enough time to run away, and fire rockets. He does have the easiest time against Sent, since Sent is so big, he's an easy target, but he fails to beat any character, Sent beats him, they all do.

Haven't played against Wolverine in like 3 months, but if that's true, then Wolvie should be almost unstoppable, receiving no damage from other characters, but it's hard for him to connect an attack, and when your on the attack, you let your defenses down.

Pointless super, unless Wolvie is almost dead, or the battle is really close and time is about to run out.

In this online game wolverine really does suck since he relies on rush down to beat the other person. He is low tier in this online game but in the real arcade game he is like top tier. With the amount of lag and cheapness from ryu and cyclops players wolvy cant really be played against them. And i know u guys think that "a really good wolvy player could beat anyone" but that just isnt true in this online game. i flag is ever removed from this game then wolvy might be playable.
