I'm doing a survey, and I would like to know what features you would like to have in a tournament; this includes modes you fight in, possible character/helper limitations, prizes, and so on... it can be anything, and be specific.

Example of mine:
-----------------
-1 on 1, no tag
-unlimited time
-helper mode on
-start at level 0
-Any type of perks off
-100+ people in tournament, standard elimination, best of 5
-Any character can be used (except Onslaught)
-Prize will be personal helper (that the winner can only use) and official tournament winner banner


These are just some examples, you can add on to it if you want, or you can make it totally different.

Vip perks off
vip sponsership for the winner
100+ fighters
offical prize from tmyapp or any other mods/admins
Bracket formation
Best outta 5 for first couple rounds
BEst outta 7 later on in the tournament

And perhaps Dark Masta should play me and loose (my prize :biggrin:)

Here are my ideas for tournaments:

-1 on 1
-unlimited time
-helper mode on
-start at level 1
-Perks off
-Around 50-75 people.
-Characters not allowed to be used: cyc|ops and Spider-man.
-Prize will be a personal helper. Also new color for all characters for winner.

Prize: this is the fun part

mabey new color for all your characters/ new personal helper/ VIP sponsership/ get to help test the next beta version/ bragging rights

what i want in a tourney is more likely not going to happen cause its something we don't have any control on !

but here goes the normal things...

pretty much the same as TARKANX !
but i must add this...
100+ people who will all fight their ways and not just give in and give the win to others or forfeit because they didn't show up !

pretty much impossible huh !

well this is my ideal tournament :

1 on 1 no tag
NO HELPERS
NO TIMER
perks off
128 ppl (ony way it will work) or 64
person will nominate the character they will use b4 the tournament starts.
there will be 2 groups (marve| and capcom) eventually the winner of the capcom divison will fight the winner of the marve| division.
best of 3 games
prize: new colour for characters, and a tag identifying u as the tournament champion when u enter servers.

hmmm, heres the way i like my tournaments..

RULES:

1on1 no tag
helper: on
timer: off
VIP perks: off

best 2 out of 3 matches, the orginal style!
the amount of ppl would be about... a good.. 100...

the style of the tournament could be something like the GP tournament except...
everyone that wins out of each division keeps fighting the winners out of the other division, and so on..

the prize!

the prize that i would wanna have in a tournament is...
a special banner tag when you enter the chat room, and also a specific sound of your choice!

- Assists on Like it always been on this game
- Power Level to 0 Like arcade version
- Best 2 out of 3 Standard Tournament Setup

Prizes
- Different Color Character
- New assist
- Chat room entrance sound different
- Different chat room text color
- Increase in how much character deals damage in game ex: If you win a tourney with ryu, your ryu will deal more damage when you play in regular games
- Forum Perks
- Beta Testing of the game
- Advanced previews of the game
- Name of winner on home page and loading screen

In a tournament, I would like all the semi finalists to witness the championship as observers.. After all, they deserve it.

TMyApp should get that Observer bug fixed up where the observer can jump in the fight.

Yeah its a good idea MeH

I like the idea except the helpers part.

i would like something to do based on stategy kind of like each participant picks 3 characters and is forced to rotate between the 3.

basically you can;t use the same character two times in a row.

Decent idea... alittle inconvenient though.

Something new like a poll tourny where people get to vote who you fight as.
