Does everyone here think its a good idea to put the default to turbo mode on the character selection screen,instead of normal? i think it is. Everyone that i have played always picks turbo, but there are some exceptions. But i just hate it when, for some odd reason, the game freezes on the stage selection screen and i can't pick turbo mode?i'm sure everyone had this problem before. I ask Tmyapp if he would do this and he's thinking about... still. what do u guys think? good idea or bad idea?

I take pity on you if your too lazy to click just one thing....

This applies for the many times the game freezes on the character selection screen due to the different rates of people's interenet connection, and because of this, sometimes you DONT have the option of picking turbo and it stays on normal. where did i say anything about being too lazy to click on the turbo button, loser?

well try click on turbo as fast as you can, as soon as it pops up, it always works... and whats that... loser... your so retarded... you think your the best but you keep getting beaten and whining because of your connection, deal with it like token did.

Also, most of the street figher games you find in the arcade like marvel vs capcom, marvel vs streetfighter, etc. Their default is on turbo. so why not on this game? Tarkan. what the #### are you talking about, loser?oh yes Token. haha. that fool.. i know what happend to him. hehe

Itd be a waste of time putting turbo on default mode, turbo is more laggier than normal, but normal is slow... so.... *end post*

Tarkan,and thats why EVERYTIME when someone wants to fight you, you specifically tell them to put it on turbo mode, or else u wont fight them.Now why would you think defaulting turbo would be a waste of time, when thats the only mode u fight in? man,you're dumb

Yeah, but TMyApp wouldn't waste time on something that doesnt need to be done... only the important things, its the only mode I fight in, but im thinking of going to normal since turbo causes a lot of lag...

Can i PLEASE get another person's input on this, since Tarkan seems to have a person problem. This TOPIC isn't about me or about Tarkan. Its about seeing what kinds of changes can be made in order to make the game more enjoyable. And like i said before, i already introduce this idea to TMyApp about 2 weeks ago and he is considering it, but he said he's really busy with other aspect of the games, like tag team and stuff..All that i ask is for TMyApp to keep this idea open as possible option.

Same old Selvin... Do you have any idea what this topic is about? Defaulting turbo mode wont, all of a sudden, make this game have even more lag. It simply means instead of the diamond shape being highlighted on the leftside,will now be highlight on the right side.This game wont go into complete chaos because of it. i'll even promise u that. i'm going to give a guess here and say that at least 90 of the people here click and play on turbo mode,so in the end this suggestion will help a lot of ppl playing this game

ONE: Whether it is on turbo or normal, everyone will still lag, due to the differences of interent speed of players.So not only will u have a lagged game. youwill have a slow game too.
TWO:Consider othe people who have gone through the same troubles as i have. maybe you can just simple click on turbo. But, there are times when the game freezes and people have to end up fighting in normal mode, which they hate.
Three.Tarkan, big mistake. Turbo mode was probably your only chance of winning.What areyou going to do now, order people to fight you on normal?
Four: most games that are in normal mode, the matches usually ends up in a time out. and who wants a long and trite match?
And i think not a lot of people play in normal mode and that is why they aren ow assuming that some how by playing normal mode, its will get rid of lag.This is not the case. I have played on normal mode and the game still lags.

I'll give you you're reasons.

Turbo is laggier, even when it seems it isn't because you don't notice some minor bugs on high speeds. Turbo is nice and fast, but a pain in the butt to play against some people. Play against somebody with a laggy connection and it defaults to turbo and you might as well pray. Also, you generally have two to three seconds to select Turbo on the screen when it appears. Why can't you? It only 'freezes' AFTER you choose one, which means you accidentally SELECTED turbo. I know this, because I have done it before.

Normal is much better as a default. You aren't messed over quite as much if it defaults to normal with a laggy opponent, MVC2.

Hope that opinion helps.

Why can't you just use one button and click Tubro?

And plus, when you say it freezes, thats a clue to that it's gonna be very very laggy, 'cause it just froze at the chr. screen... So, I think you WOULD want to choose NORMAL, because its not as laggy!

Supergood, that is one of the dumbest replies I have ever seen....Anyways, I think putting the default to turbo is a good idea for the simple fact that I don't like spending 10 minutes on one fight. OK, maybe that's exaggerating a bit, but lag or no lag, I want the fight to be over with in a reasonable amount of time. Now I know it's easy to just click on turbo, but player 2 is the one that controls this (I think) and they don't always do it. So if I challenge a n00b and they don't know any better, I'm stuck playing an incredibly slow game. Let's face the reality here ppl: almost all of us choose turbo, anyways. The 'Normal' option would still be available for those of you that still want it (but who?), and for the majority of us that prefer turbo anyways, it saves some frustration in the situation I just described. And as far as lag is concerned, I don't notice a remarkable difference between the two modes. Ryu still teleports, your supers still miss somehow even though your opponent is right in front of you, and there is still PLENTY of opportunity for cheap shots (plz don't ban me Lord, just my opinion! :-), even though the game is slowed down considerably.

Anyways, this is a good topic, makes sense also. I agree, although all the Broadband users don't have this problem, they should switch turbo to default.

However, my suggestion is to exclude normal mode from the game, actually, make turbo faster then it currently is, and make normal the current turbo speed, I guess turbo should be the speed that turbo is on Marvel Vs. Capcom2.

to run longer and end in a time over, and besides, fighting in normal sucks.

Selvin(fanboy), yes, playing in normal mode does seem like are you fighting in slow motion, if you compare it to turbo mode, and if you used to playing it in that mode. and that is why i agree with Unknown2002, where he suggested that, and i quote" , make turbo faster then it currently is, and make normal the current turbo speed"

Hey The DEfault MoDE isnt slow or fast motion..
it is like street fighter two or something..
in the vs games they move like the online turbo mode
yeah i would like turbo mode to be default and get a faster speed too (:))
ps: playing normal is torture, i just get pissed when ppl choose it and try to kick their @&#36&#36 :biggrin:

D-E-F-A-U-L-T doesn't mean normal mode. In the street fighter acrade games, turbo mode is the D-E-F-A-U-L-T . probably back when tmyapp and others were making this game and when they came this decision of PICKING which mode will be the D-E-F-A-U-L-T, and on THAT particular day they picked normal, but in any other day, they could have just picked the D-E-F-A-U-L-T to turbo mode.

Since the new version of xmvssf is coming out, why not add host options, let's say the host and select the speed, time limit (50s - unlimited) and maybe some other options...

Yeah, that would be cool to have unlimited time and a hosting option. i think there is a way to solve the default option... Maybe in the new version u can save your settings. you know? like in a .ini file. so when you open the game. the controllers are already preset to where you want it to be and u can set the turbo mode to be default...
And about settling this fight. i'm here playing the game right now. and i still dont see selvin. of cousre i'm not surprized..
