yup, you read it. Im and down right sick and tired or seeing all these post that are stupid, useless, duplicate, derogative(dissing), "######", and that are off topic, and way too many voting posts. Especially polls about the same damn things.

It seems TMyApp and myself are the only ones trying to clean up this forum and for me personally, I am moving/deleting/closing all the same things over and over again and i'm tired of it.

With that said. Any of the above memtioned post will from this point forward deleted. Any posts, whether they are entire topics or reply's. And if I see the same post again by the same person, your account will be terminated and you will be banned. I will be closing all the topics now that I think fit some of these descriptions only to give you people an understanding of what I mean.

I will not be monitoring the NON-XvsSF Related forum AS MUCH. But I will visit there occasionally to clean up posts that I don't think have any place on this or even any forum for that matter.

Remember people, this forum is here for the game. It is only out of generousity that we have made the NON-XvsSF Related section to allow random and/or slightly off topic posts to make this more of a community. But it getting way out of hand.

Also remember that there kids reading these posts and i'm also sick of seeing all the crude language thrown around. These posts will also be deleted.

Let the games begin!

P.S. Just thought of another post I think is useless. "I am back" Nobody cares! These will also be deleted.

i know how u feel lefty. the maturity here is low. and you have to talk to them about their posting every day and they gonna get fresh. there are times i want to be a mod.

NIce, thats the way mods should be around here. Also my guess is not ban them forever. Ban them for like 2 months and they'll get the picture that they are not wantd. But i'm with banning forever.

well... there is no "ban for X months" button/feature (as far as i know... *cough* ) ... so.. i'd have to remmemba' to unban someone after X amount of time passes... which i won't... sooo... :biggrin:

Just compare my activity from now to when I was here in the summer (June-Aug. 2002). I'll try to help with cleaning up the forum, but to do that you have to be here (and READ all the topics, not skim over) every single day...

Simply because people that just come to post "random" stuff....are usualy new...or to lazy to scroll down to the approprate section of the forum......(just something I noticed about user activies.)

I banned a couple of people...and those that remained in the forum appreciated it.

The monotinous task of reading EVERY post sucks though.
you often feel like you cant do it enough....but ya just cant stand going through the paces either.

And some days you just wish to hell everyone would get their act together and use the forums properly....just so you dont have to modorate.

Yes there is alot of "fame" that comes with being an Admin/Mod. But there is alot of responsibility as well. You have an entire community hanging on your every move and word. Ready to critisize your every action and scrutinize your every sentence.

Probably the most difficult part of being a Mod is knowing when to draw the line, "be a prick"...and punish/bann somebody for constant infractions of the forum rules.

No Admin or Mod "wants" to look like a hard ass. But lets face it some people are REALY stupid.

I guess the community is getting over crowded I suppose such tactics are needed now,but perhaps if we could just get all the n e w b i e s in the same area,and have a very strict talk with them things could change...maybe.

You may only make one topic each week at maxium.

Any different subjects that you find interesting should be PM'ed in that active week.

That could even be understood by a new person.

I think the reason ##### are so annoying is because there ignorance of the area around them often gives them the influence to act a fool.

You must understand.The goal of an ingorant new person is to fit in,and to become superior in the same day.Even though you know there goal welcome that person heartily,and with respect that would reduce the number of Flaming hits per week.

Also, advice that person not to make topics their first weeks in this community.Instead, instruct them to read the topics first,and to give the best senseable reply to there ability.Tell them to edit incorrect spelling,and grammar in posting tell the day they have it at a perfection.

Also if your will to help a noob starts to fade advice that person to another vet.This system could be the solution to this noob problem.The program will be called "Vet Appretiance Training"=V.A.T.

Here's an idea.

Some people join forums, and don't read the rules. Maybe there's a way to make the first (and I mean first) topic they open is the rules. Other than that:

Offense 1: Tell them to read or re-read the rules. Maybe they missed something... ???

Offense 2: Give them a warning. A sturn warning.

Offense 3: Ban them for 2-4 weeks (depending on what they did.)

Offense 4: IP ban. Ban forever!!! :buttrock:

TMyApp banning is not nice u knoe :( u can make ppl cry and go depressed and then they'll become gay and it's ur fault

TMy, Lefty, I have a set of rules on Mallarky.net that sounds very reasonable and could definately be used here, if you mods allowed it. If you want me to post them, just say so or IM me

And here are the only reasons I can see to explain nOObish behavior:
1.) They're too young to be playing the game/posting in this type of environment, and we consider them ignorant
Examples: stjames, ajtimbs

2.) They want to be considered part of this forum socially, but think that to do so, they need to be Advanced Members, and therefore increase their post count the wrong way: by spamming.
Examples: Juggernaut, Bunmi

3.) They're actually assholes in real life, and for some reason think they're better than everyone else on the forum
Examples: Most of the rest of the nOOb population
