Use Hulk or Juggernaut as a helper, and use Wolverine(good for those shun goku satsu users), Sentinel(good for getting Ryu out of the air, though you get recoiled), Cyclops(need I say more?)

For the last time, Evil Ryu is not cheap... If you think Evil Ryu is cheap, then you've never played Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo on highest difficulty VS Akuma.

u can compare or even put into contrast..this game with st2..with lag and blocking problmes

gonna have to agree with Pip about the LAG thing....no one can realy compare this game to any console fighter...the 2 are just "different" and have to be played differently.

The character IS NOT that hard to beat...Ya just have to use your head, for something other than sitting on.

the tip against evil ryu. don't try to defend. just go all out on him. thats waht i do.

There's really only one thing that makes Evil Ryu a bit tougher then the other characters... his air super freezes your character up. Even if you know when to super jump/block these, if you don't hit it perfectly, you'll stop blocking and get hit when your character freezes or else fall behind the shot and get hit by it (apparently, it hits your character when jumping behind evil ryu).

For non-beam characters, this is quite a predicament to over come.

cyclops always doing optic blasts... really ? how about thinking that you (the user) always make him do them ?
sentinel with rpocket punch and beam... again the same thing happens !

people have been saying i was cheap because i used SPIDEY... but really, i have been a lot less cheaper then most of those guys/girls that have been saying to me !
i mean they say i won cause i used spidy, but all they weere doing were hadokens on the ground repeatedly !
so how cheap were they comprared to me who was getting close and doing close range moves like kick and punches !

really, no characters are cheap... the players are !
cyclops is cheap with his beams, yes its easy to beat everyone with that and he do has lots more priority then many of the characters, but its the players that make him be cheap ! its not the characters fault if the player is being cheap !

also, pip as a point there... characters seems cheap because there is lag in this game !
i know what it is, i have a lot of problems playing with this lag. my skills are just not the same on a console.
but remember, the players are cheap, not the characters !

All I know is that Evil Ryu is awesome. It's always better if you have him yourself...

Bah..you just "think" he is awesome.

He isnt as "great" as he appears.
He requires alot more skill to use then any of the other characters.
His aerial Hadokens...have to be precisely placed or they miss your opponent.
His his aerial super...pretty good stuff, i have to admit...but it is still buggy..and will inevitably be fixed. But I have yet to see my opponent not be able to block the move....it's slow as hell and you can see it coming a mile away...and if you select the right helper, the move is easily broken....Oh yeah...some skill wont hurt you game against him that much either.

The Raging Demon...yeah it's great againt players that havent figured out how to stop the move from happening yet...But in a match up against a skilled player..they almost always stop E. Ryu from preforming the Raging Demon.
Especialy against all the Hadoken, Web Ball and Optic Blast queens out there.

Well, as i see it.....Evil Ryu=Ryu+"meaner attitude"

Basically, there isn't a difference at all.....yet. With the lag the game has, I dont see any of the advantages that E. Ryu has. If you use whatever strategy you use against reg. ryu, it'll work for the evil one. If you can't beat reg. ryu, better get a new strategy, eh?

Each one to his own, I fight better with norm Ryu.

The air shinkuu haduken hurts more than the norm ryu's own and lag also teleports him to the air when he's about to do the move making it almost unstoppable except you anticipate his moves

nosoul4evr: Have you tried actually playing against another Evil Ryu? Because you'll notice 2 things once that happens.

1. Because Ryu's air hadouken keeps him in the air, it's pretty easy to avoid hadoukens coming back down as well as jump to the other side and snipe at your opponents from the safety of the air.

2. Evil Ryu's air super freezes your character up EVERY TIME it's used. I seriously doubt your opponents have been avoiding it as well as you claim.

But please, don't take my word for it, try it out in the game yourself to see what I'm talking about... :)

The only time i get caught fully in an E. Ryu aerial super...is when i leave my self open to get hit it....by trying to cast a Hadoken (or other projectile/attack)...when i should have blocked.

Blocking is at it's highest possible setting (according to TMy)...I believe people are just hammering the keys to fast...as usual...and leaving them selves open to the attack.
But as stated prior...the move is buggy and will inevitably be tweeked....and probably have the damage lessened as well...so realy any "i cant block" complaints are in ernest...because things are bound to change.

Also..MY opponents appear to have no problems blocking the move...and neither do I apparently.
I have to catch any skilled opponents unwittedly with E.Ryu's aerial super inorder for the move to go unblocked...wich is the way things are suppose to be...i think. :p

so basicaly...i guess this issue falls under the catagory of "things work one way for some users...and things work/dont work other ways for other users."...i may be wrong though. ???

it freezes me up...

hmm..well that sucks.
You must be one of those folks that are effected by the bug/glitch/lag/whatever.

still beat people just i cant block that aor move and im not alone

How very strange... I have yet to find a single Tenma Gou Zankuu that did not freeze myself or my opponent's character.

...that bug would be the only problem which makes Evil Ryu a challenge greater then reg. Ryu.

...well pip99 says he "freezes" in matchs against me.
all i can say is that. "Yeah a bug exists"...but im not suffering from it...wich sucks for pip99 and others :D

recently... (yesterday) I fought devilsoul for several matchs...i did not experience a pause in the action when he preformed an aerial super....in fact..i broke a couple of his Tenma Gou Zankuu's with basic attacks rather than projectiles....in these peticular E. Ryu vs E. Ryu matchs the only time i got hit with his Tenma Gou Zankuu's was because i was attacking and should have been blocking.

hopefully devilsoul can post here with his side of the scuffle.

ya there was no freezing wuts so ever all me and nosoul did was fight there was no lag he stoped some of my air attacks

i dont have any kind of problem of evil ryu
not even blocking i could block any one move except raging demon thats all.

and my character doesnt freeze my screen does. only when my opponents lag
