I've heard that some people know a few ways to make lag less in a fight. I mean like which moves and stuff. So if youknow please tell me.

yeah..it's best to not have anything running in that back that uses up resources or CPU usage during gameplay...plaing music can bring down yout fps by as much as 5 if your comp isn't good enough. if your getting high 20's i sugest you try playing without any music :biggrin:

try using a pop up blocker...go here and try searching for one...some are free and some give you a limit. the free ones stop it most of the time but the ones that you pay for work perfectly :biggrin:

you can go to yahoo and download there free pop up blocker or you can get the google tool bar it has a free pop up blocker

To reduce lag just turn off backround and music. Then make the screen like half the size of what it is making the screen smaller lets you block more and more faster, IMO. Works for me.

turning the sound off just shuts off the music that plays during the character select screen and during the actual fight.....you still hear haduken haduken haduken lol :D

Which means as few IE browser windows has possible, and only have the minimum number of programs open that you need.
Example: having some sort of audio player, msn, and aim open is just asking to get lagged.

unless you have a comp over 1.2GHZ it's best to have nothing open but the game...the CPU can only take so much :biggrin: but fi you have a *super* computer you can multitask as usual but you might still be affected but not as much as those of of with not so *super* computers :biggrin:

oh so what about all those little programs that run practically all the time on the task manager dont they affect the usage of your cpu and the lag in the game?

depends on what service your talking about, there are some you can close and some that you can't :biggrin:

I don't see the point in lowering lag. I could do all the things that summary said to minimising lag, but if the other player doesn't do the same, isn't there still gonna be loads of lag?

correct..the other player loses lots of important packets but you both suffer because the one lagging wont be able to send you packets fast enough aswell...but your wont turn out as bad as the lagger :biggrin:

The master of lag will tell you all how to minimize lag.
1)get a good computer
2)get cable or DSL
3) turn off sound
4)only have SFO running on your computer
5)make SFO browser window as small as you can. Why? Because for me doing that makes me move faster and makes me able to block more :p
6)ONLY play in 1 on 1 with no tag!!!Why? cause every other mode lags like hell. Never play tag with with 3 or 4 people. why? having 4 people lag up the game, the game lags bad enough with only 2 people.

also, only play people who have low pings.

if your hosting a game, and somebody joins with a high ping, kick them because they'll be sure to lag.

i dunno what it's like in this game because i haven't played in a looooooooonnnnnnggggggg time. but in some other multiplayer games a good ping is below 200. a great one is below 100. anything more than 300 and you'll get a lot of lag in the game.

What would be a low ping number?

Lag is really starting to piss me off, I can't block supers, I freeze when someone does a super, If i do a super my opponent teleports behind me, and in 1 on 1 tag if itag all my levels dissapear even when i'm at 3.

yeah it does suck...but try closing things you DON'T need running in the back

alamgir a low ping number means that the number next to your name, when your in the tag menu, is quite a low number. a low one would be around 50, medium is between 100-150, and high is over 150. the higher the ping the more lag there is.
