Since it seems that most of you don't hang out in the Challenges and Tournaments section too often.. we decided to post it in here too :biggrin:

Vet Tourneyt 2002

damn i was waiting for this tourney but its too late .......

i retired :(

I'd expect most of the vets participating in this tournament to be retired anyways.

But I'm not really concerned with how everyone plays.. it should be a fun event for anyone who shows up.

i registered when the game was at about version 0.1n or o i don't remember which one it was. so i think i'm considered a vet !

there is one thing that didn't change in my case...

the LAG, i'm on a 33,6 so i can't join this cause last time i got beated up pretty bad and i couldn't even hold the person ! and in certain version i was able to hold onto people that were great at this game, this version give me too much lag !

i'll join, just to try !
anyway i'm gonna be beaten by my first opponent and i'm pretty sure of that !

i talked to necro2k2 last night.
he said he was retired and that tournament shouldn't be called the vet tourney cause people like j-luna aren't vet and they are there. anyway he'll look for it but he said that he is retired and the only thing that could make him change is mind, is if TarkanX and others like are there !

in the nutshell there will be about 10 people in your tourney if they all answer like that !

SSJKarma: Yes, we realize that some of the people we've got signed up arn't widely viewed as vets, and I think we're going to be making the "qualifications" a bit tougher from now on...

Also, I'm going to do everything I can to get as many vets as possible in the tournament. Real good ones like Selvin, leftyfb, Zing79, Warmor, Airlock, Razz, NoSoul4evr, Dan Hibiki, and too many others that I'll *try* to hunt down and "recruit."

And btw, I don't think Necro2k2 was exactly what we had in mind. Maybe Necro2k1... but other than that.. :biggrin:

I agree with necro ....J-luna is not a vet ...he/she joined like 4 or 5 months ago ....

Dan may be considered vet, but he joined december....but afterall it doesn't matter when you join does it? :eh: :crazy:

i am more of a vet than the people listed on your tourney....i actually joined in august...and the people on your list joined in like november or december....

For everyone bitchen about Luna: yeah, well, he did say he wasn't going to participate so he's been taken off.

Seele: Yes, we realize you started playing in August, but how much have you played since then? We're really trying to track down the old vets that have made a name for themselves in their time (ChaosCrusher, inclusive, B0ogie, subzero565, nosoul4ever, many, many others...) I can see what you mean about all the Senshuk vets.. but it's a little late to give them a "no".

Seele made a name for himself, he was in the 1st rank(5th place, even though rank doesn't mater, he's beaten a lot of great people like lordcyris.... he deserves to be on that list if people from senshuk are there....
