Ok, those of you who were here for the last vote may have read my first campaign for people to vote for Zangief. It was highly successful (Zangief managed to get 3 votes.....that was 2 more than expected). So, here it is.....my 2nd campaign. I am opening this forum for questions about Zangief and why he should be in this game. Many people believe Zangief is horrible (TMyApp being one of them :biggrin: ). I intend you show you the light and have everyone see the glory of Gief!!! (Ok that was a little corny, im just bored). So, any questions? I'll post a little later with some facts and motivational speeches (i'm sure you'll all wait up for that).

aren't all his moves grab moves. Since there are no grabs in the game won't he be useless

his only non throw move is that d-f and a punch. but apart from that, his moves are that annoying 360 rotation thing. i can never pull em off lol. so i'm never voting for that big tub of lard lol :p no offence tho jaims

<font color="blue">Hmm, I'll need ALOT of persuasion to make me like Zangief. I use him occasionly on my PS2 game, but I don't like him. If there was a vote I would vote for either Akuma or Guile.

I'll vote for when we'll be able to play with our joystick......till then I'm voting for Akuma :biggrin:

Yeah, he will be one of the last characters I'd vote for...without throws and grabs in the game, I dont see how we could use him. But I wouldnt care if his picture was put back on the character selection screen..

i've already put his MvsC track in 0.7 ... isn't that enough ?? :biggrin:

i know about one eighth of these characters...but I DO know of Zangief. Nothing will change my mind. GAMBIT ALL THE WAY

gambits cheap without air combos. but still loads of ppl wat him in, which will probaly be bad....

Zangief is ok he does have one of the best and most damging super in the whole game.

me, DX and DAN have been doing the very same thing with the char named DAN HIBIKI...
we manage to get 30 votes for that char.

he's doing his best to get people to vote for zangief which we all know won't be in the top 10 of the next poll !
but i must say...
he doesn't just wrestle bears, he is the bear ! (too corny too, guess i'm not that good at this)
well, lets start by the start will ya !

1 - he does have lots of throwing techniques !
that means TMYAPP will have to implement throw in the game if we all vote for him ! :colgate:
2 - he has some moves that don't need to be throws !
he got the moves, we got the speed on keyboard, what else do you need ?
3 - he isn't fast, but can take about 3/4 of your health in one super !
three words:"ATOMIC PILE DRIVER"
4 - he's big, he's bad and he wrestle big bad bears !

i would personally go for M.Bison since he has a certain "move" that can counter spidey's unstoppable assault

i think as we alrdy have 1 marvel character and xmen and streetfighter we should ad the capcoms as well stick megaman in he was fun in the marvelvscapcom he had cool specials and he would beat hell outta spidey

no capcom allowed srry....

ill vote for him if i knew how to do all of his moves in marvel vs capcom 2. and wth is a 360 degree rotation,how do you do it?

only Marvel and Street Fighter characters........and Akuma I don't know how will be able to pull of those 360 motion moves.......except if maybe Tmy App is able to change it......like either of doing 360, it's just down forward or back down forward......but anyway like I said I'll vote for Zangief when ez'll be abl to play with Joysticks.........and I was playing Street Fighter Alpha on the snes yesterday and I realised that Dan Hibiki is quite good.......I like his kick move better.......even if his hadouken is weak, he's still a good character and he's funny to use........so maybe I'll vote for him.........anyway....... :biggrin:

yep I got the rom of X-men vs streetfighter and it is hard as hell to pull of a 360 on your keyboard

hes fat ,,ugly and throws

i'm not sure if zangief will be all that good in this game if most of his moves r throws since.

1:you cant use throws yet so making him would just make more work for tmy

and

2:what good will throws do with the ammount of lag there usually is in a game cos if he is made you'll soon find out that it is extremely hard to throw somebody when every time u try to get near them they suddenly jump straight to the other side of the screen.

ps. bloodpack none of spidermans moves r unstoppable

i think gief would only take a lot of punishment at the hands of spidey since hes too slow...

for those who were wondering about 360 moves !
just tell yourself that doing it in a combo is too easy :biggrin:
i used to start with a jump attack, did 2 or 3 punches and then jump kicked again, that when i was pulling out the 360, AIR-BORN. when i huitted the ground i punched the PUNCH button and gief started his super !

thats the best way of doing 360moves in any fighting games !
jumping and while air-born you do the move and press the last button when you hit the ground ! in MK i was doing them by holding the BLOCK button, but since SF and MK doesn't use the same style. we gotta keep the jumping technique !
try it, you'll notice how good zangief become when you master his throws !

my vote will still be with DAN HIBIKI, tho...
because he's fast, combo all moves including supers, and the best of all, has otoko michi (self destruct) when he do it, you notice how strong his is KI !

you don't know how to do a 360 rotation? then go back to playing games on X-Box or something......X-Box is etremely easy to do 360 moves.

after some practise, you might get the 360 thing right, but that type of control is best used with a joystick

i kno someone who can do 360 degrees on the keyboard.. :D

its easy on a keyboard !
while you press the keys you just don't notice that you actually press the diagonnal one too !
its like pulling out a D,F+p combination...
on a keyboard you actually press D,DF,F+p but you don't notice the diagonnal key.
in the nutshell, pulling out 360 is easyer on a keyboard then on a joystick !

at least for my part !

I can do that movement on PS2 and on a joystick too easy:)

what I hate is

forward down back/forward down back

On PS2 of course this woul dbe easy on a key board but its on on PS2........

Zangief...Mech-Zangief...Hmm 360 moves....there are no grabs added to the game yet....,but Jaims....determination...for his favorite character....could make anything possiable....hmm I beliee Evil Ryu or Akuma are next.
