im a very good player at streetfighter but im really gettin sick of sental's rocket punch. i know your not suppose to complain but i would like to know what are you suppose to do when some one keeps doing rocket punch over and over, does anyone have a good stratagey.

those are cheapo's can't do anything but fight like them

Um everyones being cheap now. Hadokens, Optic blast, Rocketpunches, Web-balls. Just got to learn how to counter it. Though I always found that good players can easily beat cheap players anyday. :laughlong: (Good players are players who can be cheap when needed, counter the cheap technique and able to win in any character match-up).

Fight fire for fire.. ^_^.. heh. Well, there's no basic strategy or defense for someone who is being cheap. You've just gotta use whatever strategy you have to beat him.

For sentinel, I'd personally use sp

i do all those things and sometimes i win but if there is a little lag its like there doing a million rocket punches

A very cheap move do that kick where cyc|ops kicks u in the air a little then use high optic blast a few times.After the opponent is in the air and u cant see him,rush to him reallly fast and press down and taunt non stop.Ur opponent will be kept in the air by the vertical optic blast.

the best thing to think of is to what he does....this is why knowing how to be cheap comes in handy aswell, u know how to be cheap with the diff chracters, so u would kno how to beat the cheap user ahead of time. :laugh:

i usually stay right on top of sent users and turn them to scrap metal... :buttrock:

to beat sent u just be as cheap as them...
corner rape, corner rape like ur life depended on it, if youhave ken keep fire uppercuting, ifur spidey keep spider stinging him or keep symboite byting him, beating sent is all about corner rape...

well that is true for some chars but there is no way at all to not be cheap with him, it is impossible...
either they use rocket ounch a lot or use the beam or even just jumping and using mk, another way,and this seems very popular for those highranked people who only fight by their rules, is having one other person and they just attack with one person and then just bring sent out for variable or crossover.

Players that play like that are easy to beat if you are REALLY good.

Super jumps and hardkicks...cant be bothered to go into detail.

To beat sent u can use ur own sent u dont even have to be cheap. if yougot real good sent skill u should have no problem fighting a rocket punch ####. Like if they wont stop just use lowbeam then jump to his side then rocket force should hit him and keep doin the sam stay behind the ####. :buttrock:

thanks people for your help but trust me im a VERY good player i can easily beat sental but i just hate how there is a little lag and the player just keeps doing rocket punch over and over but thanks for the advise.

OK look it's this simple you have to learn how to jump forward while blocking.

You see what you newier players forget to do is you thnkng playing like a brawler just how you play in the norma game it's self.

Due to lagg you must play like a Strategist.

um its very easy I've fought a fight with no rocket punches or sent force just good ol fashion kicks and punches

That's fallacy my good man... See, there's always a way to fight without having to resort to cheap tactics... for every normal character made in SFO.... oh and you can get the monkey with wings ready.. cause it is true.

You don't have to use the rocket punch when using Sentinel. You've just gotta be skilled and wise. Use the sentinel force. They help repel attacks and use the punches and kicks to attack. THen the plasma storm would also help :biggrin:

i dont use rocket punches unless they cheap on me
if they dont cheap i would do like 1 rocket punch out of the entire match that we play

if i fight good decent players i only use sent force (that makes up for say ppl doing hadokens, web balls etc) and i do a variety of kicks and punches

jus ask some of the ppl who have fought me i win without cheap i only cheap if they are the ones doing it first

so id like to see that monkey with flying wings please :)

Okay this is what I do. When someone pick sentinel i pick akuma. Do the down forward and two kicks. He moves in to them without gettint hit. try to get close to them and stay close. You got them right there all you have to do is stay calm and watch out for specials.

I fought him, he is a very decent sentinel player. He doesn't even use rocket puch. I like his style. First sentinel player i seen that not cheap and is better than the cheap players. Probally will be the only and the best sentinel player ever.
