well.. a few people asked me about the official tourney.. its rules and results...

but.. there is just one problem.. there is NO SUCH THING as an official tournament

every tourney up 2 this point has been PRIVATE.. being hosted by necro, ewalk, and zing.. thats it...

if there IS an official tournament, u'll know it.. 100% on that.. till then, everything is private.. so if u have ANY questions, do direct them to however is hosting the #### thing... :biggrin:

so it's like a lot of pep's just fight

furthermore..
if you host a private tournament that DOES NOT mean you have anything to do with the game.

so please direct your flaming to the oppropriate system op (*cough, TMyApp*) :biggrin:

But if there is a Prize involved (regardless off what it is)..thats pretty officail...your getting something unique that no one else has...and it's directly from the game designer..(isnt it?) I mean you (TMy) had to go through and make that character special for the tourny winner...(even if it is as simple as changing clothing color)
Now if it's a private Tourny and it has a unique prize...what would an official prize be like?

I mean what would be the differance,,,would the "official" tourny winner get a unique character or move...as well as a title that would appear in a match.That states "Official Tournament Winner" or something like that?

well... i dont have any plans (yet) for the "Official Tournament Winner" ... that will not happen till the 4player mode is in...

but u can BET it will be something "special" :biggrin:

with the 4 player tourneys...how will you decide which special fighter color they get? each a different one? each there own heper?

does each of the 4 get there OWN unique prize.

hey TMyApp , what r the requirements needed to host a tourney? i know all about get like over 30 people and all the stuff that u told me in the chat room be4 but anything else? like a special requirement or sumthing?

umm... i gotta post the rules somwhere one of these days :(

basically, if u get 25-30 people, it will be posted in the loadin screen of the game... (for a few days, a week, an hour, who knows) :biggrin:

and, if u can MATCH the last tournament (zing had like 100+ players) u can have a "special prize" for the winner of u'r tournament... (helper, dif color, i dont know... all depends)

.. so far, we couldn't have more than one tourney @ a time.. but, i might break that rule as times goes by (and we have more and more people playing the game) :biggrin:

but needles to say, what I want to do with my next tourney would be IMPOSSIBLE with 100+ players.

are you sure you wouldn't make an exception to that rule for me?

I wouldn't ask for it if I didn't know it would be impossible to pull it off with that many ppl :biggrin:

btw, I want the max number capped of at 64..(but that will be 64 players who are playing, not 64 ppl who signed up but never showed).

and the way I want to host it would guarantee that!

hmmm..i was wonderin, if holding a quartarly Tournament (1 every 3 months) would give TMyApp time to work on the game and plenty of time to prepare and make prizes for a tournament.(maybe Official Tournaments hosted by TMy should work that way...1 every 3 months)

as for private Tourny's that meet TMy's requirements,for a prize.(something simple and easy for TMy to make)could be held once a month...provided things run smoothly,and there is a player out there willing to run a tournament that month.

(if i ever win a tournament..id be willing to wait as long as it took for TMy to make me a Skeleton,,,that would be a cross between Wolverine and Ryu....maybe he's spit fireballs instead of throwing 'em...and do a berzerker barrage...using the grim reapers blade....now that would definately be a unique prize worth waiting for)
