My most recent loss in the Millenium Tournament has left me... baffled by how dependent todays aspiring young fighters and ##### depend upon a host for a win.

So... here's my challenge to anyone out there who "thinks" they have skills:

- We have as many fights as you'd like, all my host (and if we can't connect on a quick game challenge... then I'll hook up the dam 56K again).
- We both fight with the same character (no vip characters damit... you have to use someone that everyone can use).

If you win even one match... regaurdless of how many attempts you make, you win this challenge.

If you lose all your matches and give up, you lose the challenge.

There ya go.. if anyone out there holds any sort of pride in their fighting abilities you'll attempt this challenge.

( Thou I'm ONLY "good" with Ryu, I don't think it should be hard to master the other chr's as well. )

Sorry I havn't been on people... (been crazy work trying to get senshuk nav. back up and run things in the "real world").

I should be a bit easier to find tommorow/Sunday, and most open during Spring Break (Mon-Fri).

HOST does matter 2kwarrior... but you gotta know the basic of how it works to actually be better with it !

example:
Cable vs 56K (cable host) = good game, not so much lag...
56k vs 56k (1st 56k host) = good game, not so much lag...
56K vs cable (56K host) = damn laggy game ! (why ? because 56K host the game and it has no problem giving out the things he has to give. cable, have trouble following, why ? because it has twice the job it normally would have to do just to follow up the 56k, it also includes the fact that it =has to downgrade on the 56k to follow)

why do i know that ?

and the likes...
they all have that little phrase in their readme that syays this:"the one who has the fastest connection, should always host the games !"

it has been a fact for years now... better connection have always given better performance in online games if they were hosting !
so yeah... any 56k hosting a game will simply make the cable user lag as hell !
while if the inverse was hapenning... cable was hosting and the 56k had to follow... then it would be way better !

I know just as much about the lag in this game as you do (as well as have both those games and experienced lag effects on them).

Not sure if this is still me not being able to understand the unorthodox way of your posts, but I get the impression that you're saying that cable users have the lag advantage on 56K hosters games. If you do mean to say that, then you're dead wrong. Try hosting with a 56K some time against a cable/dsl user and see what I'm talking about... the game's laggy as hell but the 56K still has the advantage by quite a lot. Or else try joining a cable user's game with a 56K... it's very laggy for the 56K user.

Anyways... debate your lag issues somewhere else. If you're not going to accept the challenge then don't bother posting.

Edit: Amazing... DXZero beat me on his first try. He stands as the first one to beat me on my own host in a LONG time.

Once again... very impressed with everyone who's been able to do this. So far nobody has fought me and lost on my host more then 1 game (which either says a lot about them or a lot about me..).

A prodominantly Ryu community, but still amazing fights with all of you. I commend the unorthodox fighters from their dazzaling display of skills with Chun li and Wolverine. :biggrin:
