since TMyApp has signed off on it, I can now officially tell you how im going to host it.

It will be held on ONE DAY.
Here are the tentative dates that the tournament could be held on (it will all depend on when chun-li comes in)
Saturday December 15th
Saturday December 22nd
Saturday January 5th

One of those days will be selected as the day to hold the tournament. So schedule yourself around that :)

Heres how it will work. You do not pre-register for the tournament.

On the saturday of the tournament I will be in one of the chat rooms taking registrations from 10am -12 pm.
(Thats how I can know there wont be any too many dropouts, because you have to show up to even register :))

To register you just simply come in the chat and tell me what character your using (I'll know your username from you just simply telling me who your playing as)

We break shortly so I can set up the matches, and to allow ppl to get some lunch

The tournament starts at 1pm. You come to the chat im located in, and ask me who your facing, and I'll tell you.

Then you go fight your match. Its a best 2 out of 3 matches. Once your match is finished the WINNER goes to one chat room to tell me the results, and the loser goes to another to do the same.

and after the first round for the rest of the day thats how it will work...one chat room for the winners, and one chat room for the losers...

btw remember that this tournament is double elimination, so if you lose once don't just take off...go to the losers chatroom so I can give you at least 2 matches :)

From there we just repeat that for the rest of the day. You come to the chat, I tell you who your fighting...you fight...you go to the correct chat room to tell me what happened...and then we break for 15 so I can set up your next match.

This will hopefully ensure that ppl dont sign up and then fail to show up.

as we get closer to the tournament I will once again spoon feed you everything down to the dumbest detail so that you know exactly whats going on.

The main purpose of this is to let u know when it could be held, and that you will have to show up that day to register

I sort of have a computer class every sutarday from 11:00pm to 12:00pm How would I play??

well you would sign up before you went to class..
remember that I said I would be in the chat from 10am to 12pm. So you could do that before you went...plus the tournament doesn't start until 1pm..so u would be home before it got going :biggrin:

that class is perfectly wrapped around the tourney :)

I live 1 hour and 30 minutes away from the school.

Im not too sure yet...

but I doubt you will have class if it falls on the 22nd of December or the January date...It's way to close to the holidays for anybody to be having any type of school.

but if you do class on those days, then there is nothing I can do.

but again...class that close to christmas and new years? I hope nobody would be that bad :biggrin:

How will you decide who challanges who. I mean, for some of us, it seems to be important to be the one who challanges because it helps us to make sure we get the helper we want, as well as aparently having the "edge" in the lag dpt.

It's going to work just like the last tournament.

heya Zing why does the higher ranking player host the first and last round...i know that you know the host usualy gets the upper hand (just because of lag)wouldnt it make the tourny more fair...if the lower ranking player hosted first and last rounds...what i mean is...the higher ranking players probably dont care wich side of the ring they start on..and they have the moves perfected on both sides of the ring....most lower ranking players still have trouble getting the moves off from the player 2 side..i dunno...it was just an observation of mine....whats your thoughts on this Zing?

excellent point...but if they dont know how to do the moves on both sides they may not stand much of a chance :(
