The colors just dont match Bg is useless the crash was pointless becuase the broken parts dont match color of the car =/ nice try though.

It sucks.
The color is too grim, and doesn't balance well, and cars (for the most part) suck on most banners, unless you use them smart, which you didn't (slap on, "OMGLOOKITGOESFAST!" job) |

well like i said color is not what im worried about... the render is originally bright yellow... i wanted a dark look and my friend had a hubba bubba pack so the colors gave me a wild idea.... i just wanted to mix a bit of yellow and white with the pink and purple... if id choose the same kinda color, it would be mono and vf would b bitching about it anyways.

No, I would also be bitching about the fact it's blurry as poop, the pic is more than half of the banner, there's nothing to look at that's not part of the car, you're using renders that don't belong to you instead of making them yourself, the text is small and unnoticable, and is there for the flip of it, it doesn't flow with the color scheme of the forum, the lighting doesn't balance and it looks like another pic + background + text job.

o.0 who cares about the color scheme of the forum, i didnt make it for this forum... so anyways if the pic+bg+text is a bad thing, can you show me another way to make sigs? is mayb your sig better? lots of text and 2 colors... please enlighten me and show me another way... and yah i know the render is kinda big... its for an SOTW themed racing... so i just made that more in the focus and effects around it... but if you have another way to make sigs, please show me, i just cant think for other ways other then your whorish pic+bg+text. btw my text wasnt the focus... in my sotw we need to include our name so i jus hid it small in a corner... i didnt want it on it cuz i wanted the car and the effects around it to be the focus.

And instead of using pic + text + bg, add poop, add poop, add poop. The more, the better. Don't make it busy, but make it varied. Don't just add those three things, maybe if you don't want to brush, manipulate a pic to make it look like brushing. Add line art, maybe "tech", some shapes, and for a background, instead of being a texture, which is what you're been doing alot (and some "brush" blotches here and there), make it a scene, since effects tags are growing in popularity. Again, you're constructing your mind to these three steps instead of trying new things and keeping us entertained. This might have been deamed "good", maybe a year ago. Now, it's just generic, old and boring. and you don't need to make a paragraph long, godly written comeback post, just take the damn critisism. |
what are you talking about, those cupes are done with shapes and stuff... its not a brush... some i did with pen tool but most with lasso... then i used layer style to give it that texture... cant you see the tech at the very right side? those circly thingies... even my other sig from my other thread 'booty of dawknessss' has vines on the side made with pen tool and the lil leafes on top made with lasso tool and then replicated and changed shape...

a lotus elise will make any tag 50% more beautiful.....which is exactly what your tag needed....

you mean a lotus eloise burning out? and make smoke? iunno i didnt find anything like that... i was thinking like the eloise taking a sharp turn and hitting those obstacle thingies... and i reduced the yellow to have more of a whitish look so i can mirror the pinkish surroundings on its body...

The 1st banner is the best one there. The one with black just messes it up. The 2nd banner is good as well, but not like the 1st banner.

Okay, this thread pissed me off. Just because it didn't follow one guy's "criteria" for a good banner doesn't mean that it's not a good banner. I love the colour choices. They're original and pleasing to the eye. And you guys are bashing it just because they all don't stick within the boundaries of one hue; just because it's not what you're used to. If you always stick with what you're used to, things will get monotonous and boring.
All in all, this is a great pic. The colour is what I like most about it. |
