I'm just an amateur messin' around on PS7 while trying to learn a few new techniques. Tried to make this banner with as little brushing as possible. Ratings, comments, and tips are welcome.

Beautiful banner. 10 out of 10. I have never given that rating out.
The central picture is great. The background blends perfectly and I love how the girl is somewhat opaque. A font goes great with the banner's atmosphere. |
7/10. The background could do with more work, but a decent banner overall.

Glowing picture is horrible, background needs some work and font doesnt stick out much. 4/10

i see the border. barley O.o and the bg is a fliter clouds with some bad brushing
i dont like the glowing affect but still nice try. oh and the font goes well with the sig. :biggrin: 6/10 |

id say 6/10, the background is alright, I don't really like how the girl is glowing, Should have used a different Text, And maybe a biggerborder would have been better..

Thanks to everyone for the tips. Now I know outer glow is a bad thing lol. I also will do total brushing instead of being lazy and using the clouds filter. Thanks a lot for the 10 Restavega, I'm glad you like banners that don't require TONS of brushing. Z-z, you have an awesome eye because you pointed out exactly what I did, but it's too bad you disliked my brushing skills. I understand though because it was my first try at it. BTW to all that gave me horrible ratings, I said amateur, but I appreciate your honesty. My next banner will definitely be better than this one and maybe I'll score above 5 most of the time instead of bombing far below it.
