Join us on IRC (EFnet) in #xvssf to chat with eachother about the game and other topics. I will be in there periodically to talk with everyone also.

For people that can't figure out how to use mIRC, we've setup a nice web interface to do it all for you. just go to
http://projectx.cyberfuturism.com/irc/

type in a nickname to use on IRC (might have to change it a bit as it might already be taken) and click the ENTER button. You will be connected and automatically join the chat with the rest of us.

Leftyfb has been bustin' his hump for the last day or 2 to get this IRC Chat set up....so..yeah..it's definetly worth taking the time to check it out.

A great place for players to get the XvsSF Info they might be looking for.

i can't join it cause i don't got the java machine or wut ever it's called and i can't download it

When the window pops up asking if you want to install the javamachine err what ever it's called.....select yes, or always,..basicaly,select any option that means "Yes I wanna get into the chat..now let me in"

Ya right about TMyApp though. He is a little too busy to stop by and hang out at this time...
As for how often TMy will stop in...I can only assume that as the Official Chat becomes more popular, TMy will pop in more often...time will tell. ???

All I usually see in the chat is strangers and the bots. I never seem to see Lefty or TMY in the chat anymore. However, I did see Viper2040 a few hours ago telling Lionheart_X to shut up (he was flooding, shouting out that i was a noob).

The IRC is a Great Addition to the XvsSF community and Im sure that it will be respected by those who deserve to be on =/

Ive been on IRC for along time now..and yes its a great chat program. Efnet is an ok server i guess but it doesnt support the NickServ, ChanServ, BotServ commands..Also you cant register your nick so no one can take it. My personal fav. server has to be ScoobyNet. Dont get me wrong, im not saying Efnet is a bad server, but has a few drawbacks..other than that..its great.

The only people i ever see on there is leftyfbx. :(

maybe we could all used the chat when the servers are down so tmyapp can take his time bringing it up hehe lol.

About the Bot talking thing...i doubt it was a bot because when you /whois it it doesnt come up as services..which all bots are supposed to say. Also i dont think EFnet supports bots.

It is possible to make a bot talk anyways...i think its like

/msg BotServ SAY #channel (message)

.. yeah it's just programmed with some words to say and reply to and automated to answer in a specific way to any word he.. sorry... it doesn't understand :biggrin:

theres barely anyone left in there now... its like they would rather use the game's chat rooms than the IRC channel chat rooms now... only few people show up

Instead of everyone griping about the lack of ppl in there, JOIN the channel and idle. Maybe this way the channel will grow. Also if you'r in there and on Script or anything but the java thing, i created an mp3 player for IRC. I created it so i could listen to music without going to my desktop. If your on, ill be happy to send it to you. -(Moo|Amp)- .. so hurry in!! :laugh:

If you want to know the channel names and how many there are:

Simply type in /list <---this will bring up a pop-up and tell you the names of the channels and there topics.

If you need to know about anything else, please ask me... :p

There's a side effect to this command though... If you type it in IRC Chat you'll see what I mean.

ok, he can have {} but not those () because those () are for commands and the likes !
