Tark, there is only one thing I don't know about DBZ. That is, the ages of the characters at various points in the story. Therefore, could you supply me with the ages of the characters at the conclusion of the Buu saga? Those, and the age of Vegeta when Planet Vegeta was destroyed (i think he was 5, but I can't be sure

well vegeta is 7 when its detroyed and goten is 6 and trunks is 7 one year older then goten see and ithink son goku is around 34 or 35 i saw in a japan movie i no some japan and crean so i no and iam a beaner well GH is 15 and picalo well i dont no vedial 14 chi chi is 34 or 35 caus well shes like the same age of goku pan if your wadering is 12 in the gt series and BUU is about 2 millian years old well i dont no korin or king kia or shin or kabito or denday well GH and denday were the same age in the vegata series so that means hes probly 15 ???????? :laughlong: well we may be freaks of DB DBZ DBGT |

nantuko: i think vegeta and goku are much approching the 40th and there is a fact that vegeta is 7 year older then goku !
yes goten is born one year after trunks. you don't actually knowing the age of those characters as their age isn't really mentionned in the serie. thus making this an incrdible question indeed, but i think there is not much of an answer who could be done. it is just like those power levels thing. |
I heard from somewhere that Goku is in his 50s or something at the end of DBZ, while Vegeta was in his 60s, then I heard something else.

This is the beginning of the Buu saga? That can't be right. At the end of the Cell Games, Gohan was 12 (remember, + 1 year for the ROSAT training), then I think there was a 7-year period of time between Cell games and Buu saga. Wouldn't that make Gohan 19? Then Goku would have to be a little older, because at the beginning of DBZ, wasn't he into his 20s?
I'm not trying to start a debate, don't get me wrong. I'm just trying to clear up some confusion on my part. |
In the Anime, at the Cell games, he's 11, in the manga, he's 9. The Buu saga is 7 years later.

Piccilo is quitre a bit older than Gohan. I think about 6 years. Piccilo Daimou was defeated by Goku when he was...13 or 14...or 12. :biggrin: So, if Goku and Chi Chi had Gohan when Goku was...18 or 19 (help me...), and it was four years afterwards, then Gohan would be 4 and Piccilo would be 9 or 10. That means that during the Buu saga, if Gohan was 16, then Piccilo was 24, and Goku was...umm...nevermind. |

9 year old ? that cannot be true even in the manga ! why ? reason: 1 - in the serie, he is in "COLLEGE" at the begining of the buu saga ! COLEGE = minimum 17 years old 2 - "IF" he were in HIGH SCHOOL, that still doesn't make sense. HIGH SCHOOL = 11 years old. do the math on your age and calculate the time it took you to be at HIGH SCHOOL and you'll know why this isn't possible for him to have 9 ! i would believe that 18 years old would be a good answer ! let me try and calculate from start... beginning of DBZ = 4 sayien saga = 5 2 year after namek saga = 7 3 year training before androids = 10 1 year training hyper bolic time chamber = 11 7 year after CELL = 18 no, he's definitely 18 year old at the beginning of the buu saga ! well not exactly... REAL AGE = 17 PHYSICAL AGE = 18 that's about it. if you think my calculs are wrong you tell me it ! EDIT: in the 9 movie, GOHAN IS 9 year old... but since this movie doesn't fit in the serie then we cannot use that to determined his real age ! |

my calculation are all corrects except for this one...
afetr namek where they takes the nameks dragonball to revive everyone one by one. you know the one where they try to revive goku but the dragons doesn't revive someone who is dead ! except for that, it is CLEARLY said ! next, i was in high school at the age of 12 ! college would have been at the age of 17 if i would had pass my my fifth high school class ! just one question... i'm based off my own age to find these ! i think i am very right as 9 isn't possible either ! think... begining of DBZ gohan was 4 fight with nappa, gohan was 5 after namek saga, gohan was 7 at the androids saga, gohan was 10 after ROSAT, gohan was 11 it is all that correct. unless that reviving thing with the nameks DB, never happened. there is just no way gohan could have been 9 ! i really think i am RIGHT this time ! Goku had Gohan at 21, Goku is 25 against Raditz Saiya-jin saga is about 1 year later, then when Goku is on Yardrat is one year, so he is 27, then 3 years later, he is 30, he spends almost one year in the ROSAT, so he is 31, then 7 years later, he is 38.
Vegeta is 5 years older than Goku, and Vegeta spent 2 years in the ROSAT, so Vegeta is 6 years older than Goku. |
first: i live in quebec province in canada !
we have 6 years at PRIMARY school and 5 years at high school then we're gone to colege ! we enter primary school at the age of 5, for another reason i entered at 6 then do the maths and you'll know what i mean ! now... clearly stated in the manga as well ! gohan was 4 when raditz came on earth. clearly stated in the manga that he was 5 during the vegeta and nappa fight ! clearly stated the the namek saga was about 1 or 2 years trunks arrive and he gets another 3 years of training then cells come in and gohan trains 1 more year ! then 7 year later buu arrives ! EDIT: that is with the same resoning as TarkanX... he goku had had 21 when he got gohan and then he clearly say he had 25 when fighting raditzs ! now 25-21 = 4 year old that's the age of gohan now lets recalc... 4 5 6 9 10 he was 10 when he fought CELL and he is 17 ! but i really think 2 year passed before trunks came in ! |

It doesn't exactly say Vegeta is 5 years older, I just compared Vegeta(kid) to goku(baby), I'd say vegeta would be 4-7 years older than Goku(before ROSAT). But 5 seems most accurate.
Karma: How can I say this, let me explain again. Gohan is 4 at the beginning of DB Gohan is 5 in the Saiya-jin saga Gohan is 5 on namek Gohan 5 when Trunks comes 3 years later Gohan is 8 ROSAT training Gohan is 9 7 years later Gohan is 16 Though it doesn't make sense... Gohan trained with Piccolo for 180 days, I believe he is still 4, maybe 4.5-4.7. Namek saga was only a few days from the Saiya-jin saga, so he doesn't age. The Trunks arrival was like 270 days, so Gohan would be about 5.3-5.5. 3 years later Gohan is 8.3-8.5 ROSAT training was for about 9 months, so Gohan is 9-9.3 7 years later, he's 16-16.3. So I am right, and besides, it stats in the Manga "Gohan 16, goes to Orange Star High School" and the Buu saga is 7 years from the Cell saga. |

cause you seemed to have NOT COUNTED the time it took them to bring everyone's back AFTER namek ! again... PICCOLO trained gohan for an entire year ! 6 month of SURVIVAL 6 month of training raditz telled they had 1 year before the saiya-jin arrival ! so gohan trained 1 year not 180 days ! 180 days is the time it takes to the namek DB to regenerate ! that is why i say you're wrong about his age !
