i was gonna go with nintendo siince the master of all gaming and the founder of action was shigeru miyamoto (i hate this keyboard... WHO KEEPS MESSING WITH THE SETTINGS!!) but i went with konami lol.

LOL u kno the only game i thought was good from sega was the sonic stuff (from the original team) and ... wut was the ninja stuff... not shinobi.. the other one.

er duno... i havent played sega sinced genesis

I'd say konami, since they make the Bemani games... Not to mention Metal Gear. :biggrin:

They created Ghost Recon, Far Cry, the newest PC fps and one of the best games of the year so far, Rainbow Six 3, and the best game ever, Splinter Cell: Pandora Tommorow.

and also Team Ninja, who also brought us the AMAZING GAME Ninja Gaiden.

Square, Sega, and Unisoft are in my opinion not good enough to even be ON the poll.

HAHA omg, not the best, they've created some of the best games ever. eg, far cry and SC/SC PT.

I have to go with rockstar..

no, and i mean it, no RPG comes close to what SEIKEN DENSETSU 3 is for SNES !
not even today !
SQUARESOFT owns and no one ever placed it in !
same goes for RARE SOFT

come on guys, you have no taste if all the company you place are the one of today !

HASBRO really has a way to go as well !

if you ask me to choose, i'm stuck with thses in mind and cannot even choose !

yes, squaresoft and raresoft were good companys. but Black Isle were also a very good company, for creating the Baulders Gate series, the Plane Scape Torment series and also the Icewind Dale series, did you play any of those karma?

I choose nintendo. Gamecube is one of their best products yet. The controller is awsome and the games aren't bad. But i can't wait till nintendo's new product to come out this year.

torment i played for a few minutes, yeah it started well... but i can't say more !
baldur's gate, yeah it was great for a dungeons and dragon game !
yet i dislike hack and slash games like diablo !
and that was one !
but yeah i gotta give credits to black isle... they made a good game here and there !

like i said, right now, its all about your opinion and nothing more !

as i said, no games comes close to SEIKEN DENSETSU 3 which have the very best RPG type of play ever, not turn based which is stupid in my opinion ! and then it is has a lot more reality, as in spells do not come out instantly, they take time and you see the character in a summon state ! not to mention the story which is good to a point that it could easily make an holywood movie !

same goes for chrono trigger, how can someone say that chrono trigger wasn't the best RPG they ever played ? and they have no right to say they never knew that game since it was remade on the PSX !

but again it all comes back to their liking !
today's game are all about blood and rocket launchers !
good thing companies comes back to good old COOP games !
now that is more fun then blasting each other to pieces !

im not into nintendo anymore... they got too kiddy for me. xbox has the best graphics but the variety of games suck. the best ones are halo, ninja gaiden, .. the one with the chinese... i forgot the name.. and ive been playing it for a while... the one with the wars and the... people... lol
final fantasy XII would be better if people interacted more and there was less lag. also they should have it so you dont lose sight of something after like 5 feet. all of the japanese vidgame companies (almost all of them lol) are great, and there are some american ones out there that just suck lol.

Co-op/Multiplayer games just own, i never get bored when playing with/against someone else. it just never gets boring, cause its not like playing against the AI. always something different. take CS for instance. i never get tired of the maps. i can play de dust for 4 hours straight if i want.

Hey don't diss Nintendo just because of their kiddy games or just looks like a kiddy system. Their are games on playstation 2 that are on the gamecube like Need for Speed Underground, Tony Hawk Underground, Nascar Thunder 2003, Dragonball Z Budokai. So you can't say that nintendo is a getting to childish. I find playstation 2 came out with the stupidest games like that stupid Brittany Spears game, Kareoke revolution, Billy and the Giant Egg, etc. But do you see any stupid games for gamecube. Mario Party is pretty stupid but the mini-games are awesome. So competitive with your friends around.

yet i dislike the kind of QUAKE 3 ARENA and UNREAL TOURNAMENT series ! they are without goal so they are nothing more then stupid video games, yet people like them because of their lust for blood and gore !

as for other games and comanies... one cannot deny SQUARE SOFT... look at the FINAL series, if the company wouldn't be good, it wouldn't have had that much influence on gameplay as we have today !

example... the movie FINAL FANTASY may have been stupid compared to the games, yet it is the MOVIE ENGINE that was used to create the last FINAL FANTASY games FMVs !

they also created a lots of games... so seriously one cannot say that the company didn't get the right to be mentionned in a poll.

Konami all the way! and ps2 dont just have those games, wolfpac, they have much more serious games then the gamecube has. And what about viewtiful joe, kirby air ride, and billy and the giant egg or whatever is also on gamecube. You can even tell gamecube is childish from the start up with the cube.

listen guys, its not because half of their games are for a young audience that the console is childish for it, if so then even xbox and PS2 are childish since they also have half of their game which is childish !

i would say before throwing down a console, take your fact straight !

k the begginning is a bit childish but who cares about what the begginnig sounds like on the system for me it's turn on game, get snack (maybe even roll up a joint) and sit down and play a mature game. but come to think about it and i've said it once before but every single system has stupid childish games and there is nothing nobody can do with it. The reason is simple. If you ever watched the simpsons than you probably heard this. " Why don't somebody please think of the children". If you don't understand that than i will put it in a more simple way of saying it. See if they come out with games that are all punching, fighting, kill him, awww zombies are coming, etckind of games than what games will the 3 - 11 year olds will play. They can't play that because they will copy it and end up hurting other kids. So if your saying that gamecube is childish well think what you want because if think of it. EVERY SYSTEM IS CHILDISH. There suppost to be aimed for ppl like that because ADULTS don't have time for these things.

Ok the GC is not totally childish but it has sligtly more kiddy games then all the other consoles. But its not like I hate my GC I still enjoy playing games like MGS the twin snakes and Soul Calibur 2. But wolfpac, if games were created just for kids then why are most games so violent? I mean loads of adults play games. Heres an example SSJ Karma he plays games. Dont go telling me Resident evil with its vile and gore was created for little kids. WHy do u think these games were created? not just for kds.

Erm i think u mean MGS 3 snake eater thats the sequel to 2. Metal gear the twin snakes is already out on GC and is a remake of MGS 1 with GC graphics.

Most games so violent?
Loads of adults play games?

Maybe most games are violent but what type of violence are you talking about? Mild Fantasy Violence, Blood and Gore violence, etc. And have you ever heard something called target marketing and target segmentation? if you have than what would be a good target for nintendo and all the other systems? Another way of putting it is what age group mostly populates the world so that those type of companies can target?

Now, loads of adults play games. Again maybe true but what type of games would they play? My father doesn't like violent games that much. He's more into racing games like Nascar Thunder 2004. Now for me i like RPG's, Action, and sometimes i like the occassional "kiddy" games.

That's basically all i have to say. *wa i should stop coming to my school.* :D

That's why they have that ESRP thing on the game when you rent, buy, borrow games. It tells you that you have to be that in order to play it. But just to say but don't you think games are being treated like movies. e.g. Games have ratings. Movies have ratings. ???
