i'm going with florida marlins all the way...they are going to be the new world series champs this season.....i've watched all televised games they played in and coming back from a 13-32 record with jeff torborg in the begging of the season and ending up with an 89-71 record at the end with jack mckeon is just awesome

Josh Beckett is most likely gonna finish the series today but if you yankee fans think you guys can comeback then vote for them....

EVERYTHING IS JUMPING here in miami...i knew the marlins would win...like i said this is way too exciting for me because i watched every game televised that the marlins played in....i heard all the poop talking people made about the marlins...all the stupid comments...but now what? every idiot commentator and critic out there can all go to hell...once again MARLINS SHOCKED THE WORLD....about 95% of the baseball world thought the marlins couldn't make it this far....

every fan right now celebrating the marlins victory, only 15% of them are true marlins fan....the rest just became fans when the marlins won the League Championship Series against the cubs....

i watched every loss, every win, every bad day they had during the 162 games in the regular season....watching them win this world series just brings excitement in me and a tear in my eye... GO MARLINS!!!!!!!!!!!

i think theu should rename it to u.s series what other countries actually take part in it or is even intrested in baseball besides america?

well the baseball in the united states is alot more advanced than any other country out there....its proven that U.S. baseball is better than any country (in south america), dominican republic, japan and all other countries in the world... and if those countries have any REALLY REALLY GOOD PLAYERS, they are most likely to tranfer to the MAJOR LEAGUES in the U.S.

heres an example of howbaseball is here compared to other countries:

PRO PLAYER STADIUM c---where the marlins play : straight away center field is 445 feet homerun cthats the maximum in the world

TOKYO STADIUM c straight away center is 375 feet (note: that japan is 2nd in baseball organizations) also remember if a player is really really good like Matsui (who used to play in Japan, he was their best player) they transfer to the U.S. *he now plays for the yankees and lost the world series :D*

Fastball in other countries average 85 mph: Here in the U.S. Major league baseball the average is 98-103 mph


SO IN OTHER WORDS all the good players in the world transfer to THE MAJOR LEAGUES IN THE U.S...

so the marlins do have the right to be called WORLD SERIES CHAMPS!!!!

btw the marlins had the youngest players averaged to win a world series

since the world series is over, you should lock this topic. in case any of you people didnt know, the marlins won. i was voting for both of the teams because they are both pretty cool. hideki matsui is the best player though. :biggrin:
