The Source's CEO bitchino has co-signed BET's decision to pull the latest Eminem's video "Just Lose It" from rotation.
The first single and video from Eminem's upcoming album, Encore, pokes fun of Michael Jackson. In one scene, Eminem wears Jackson's trademark red leather jacket with kids bouncing around on a bed and raps: "Come here little kiddie, on my lap, guess who's back with a brand new rap. And I don't mean rap as in a case of child molestation."

"For too long influential people in the hip-hop community have stood by Eminem while he has made a mockery of the culture that inspires and motivates our young people to achieve and be proud of their black heritage," said bitchino. "I am proud of both Robert Johnson of BET for pulling the video, and for comedian Steve Harvey for urging MTV and VH1 to do the same. We as the leaders in the Hip-Hop community and music industry need to step up and realize that Eminem's lyrics and actions are tearing down the very culture that people like Doug E. Fresh, Slick Rick, and Public Enemy have built from the ground up. I urge all members of hip-hop to come out and support Jackson, one of the most important, cultural icons of our time. No one should stand behind this mockery and only by supporting the airplay of "Just Lose It" are we giving Eminem a way out."

The Source is demanding that the song "Just Lose It" be pulled from Eminem's upcoming album and to apologize publicly to Michael Jackson.

Eminem's album Encore drops November 16th. The Source Awards are scheduled to air on BET on November 30.

Axe Says: Am I the only one who feels that this Jack ass is still bitter from getting smoked by em last year, in the series of diss tracks he released? Albeit, the video is garbage, and better not be indicative of what his album is going to be like, I still feel he-- Em-- has done nothing wrong. the characters he has spoofed in the video are societies low-lifes-- at the moment-- and have sustained worse criticism from the media prior to the relaease of this video. Am I a huge eminem fan? By no means, however, I do respect what he has done with his empire and will always stand behind him before any garbage editor from The Source Magazine--Ray Benzino.

Really? I appologize, I thought your topic was pertaining to Michael Jackson sueing Eminem, which is not really along the same lines as what I am saying.

How do you feel about all of this? I personally think it's ridiculous. Michael has lost all credibility. He is doomed until the day he dies, where he will be remembered for his great musical talent.

Well, I love his songs and all but michael has got to realize when things like that happens to people and going to made fun of by someone.

but in anycase, I think Benzino's correct. I mean, why should Eminem face the heat 'NOW' for what he usually does as a rapper. Every album he releases, someone's mockery is usually the driving force. And aside from the one regarding his mum and dad, they're all JOKES!

No one cares to listen to the other side of his lyrics. They pick up from where he left off, saying I'll shoot you and I'll rape you.. and then cut the rest out. No one notices that He (Eminem) usually says, after his vulgar lyrics, that I'm just kidden... it isn't wise to do what I say, it's just to be funny... and stuff like that. Even this loose it video.. Anyone here the part where he dissed himself saying, I'm stupid.. or something.. and I'm just saying this to annoy you?? I didn't think so :biggrin:

Now to the "king of pop". No one doubts his pioneering in the music video industry.. but why the hell should he use that "perk" .. if you will, to try and take out Em. And I'll have to agree with the one who said, he's got worse.. much worse criticism from the media than what Em's giving him here. I mean, it's one thing to write a note to Em and say yo dawg, that video was kinda hateful... and wrong. Approach him man to man.. instead of going on the radio to cry to BET and VH1.... and yeah, MTV to pull it off the air.

So yeah, I believe the editor from source magazine is actually on my side with this case. More power to Shady :biggrin: .. the black man's trying to hold him down?? O_O

Excuse me, let me correct myself; It has become apparent to me that Ray Benzino-- Born Raymond Scott-- is not one of the editors of The Source magazine, but holds a more prominent position; Co-founder and Chief Brand Executive. He fo-found the magazine with Dave Mays, the CEO.

i do have to agree with ludacris here. I mean i used to make my friends crack up with michael jackson jokes back when he was in the news a lot. i mean eminem is just trying to make business by making cracks in his videos about people who are in the news. didnt he make a video with bin laden or something in it. Frankly unless ur like Mcauly Culkin or michael jackson's children or a hardcore michael jackson fan, i doubt u really want to defend the man for his actions. I mean his morals are totally disorderly , hell its just wrong.(what parent would want their child in the same bed with an aged man with a plastic face? its plain sick)
