Looks good, but I can't wait to see what Sony have in stock.

Dark_Paladin_X 05-13-2005 03:16 AM

Looks pretty good. The game they have for it that i wanna play is Need for Speed Most Wanted. That's it from that list. I saw it on mtv last night. they really got me interested in it.

Sry to say but, i think Sony will have something to top it.

Restavega 05-13-2005 07:46 AM

Sometimes I forget consoles even exist.

Anyone play SFO lately?

official xbox360 pics/info

check it out

Dan Hibiki 05-13-2005 12:26 PM

Wholly unimpressive. I see now why Nintendo is emphasizing changing the way games are played, instead of focusing solely on graphical capabilities.

black_dragon22 05-13-2005 01:10 PM

Xbox360 will be forgotten about when Playstation 3 comes out....

~Mastermax~ 05-13-2005 01:12 PM

yeah iu agree with hibiki, all that it did for me was remember how much of a sellout rare was. i mean look what xbox did to joanna dark

this?

dominicankid098 05-13-2005 01:19 PM

Seriously, I am mostly into EA sports games. If the graphics in EA are better played in the Xbox360, then I will buy it. I don't really care about other games. EA rawkz.

That's a fu-cking outrage..she looks stupid..omfg... :blues:

Elena 05-13-2005 05:04 PM

Lol Penzel...it looks like the ripped the controller off of gamecube...but at least it doesn't seem clunky...

Warmor 05-13-2005 05:14 PM

Wow...I am disapointed. Since this will be the system we all will be using for the next 6 years, I excpted more. They look like nothing more then the PSOnes FMV's! Gaming is going to need to take a new direction...the graphics are unimpressive...something is going to have to change fast, I don't see another 6 years of "just this".

Vash 05-13-2005 05:20 PM

It sounds great I am definiteley going to get this one.

~Mastermax~ 05-13-2005 05:21 PM

in order for there to be a huge upgrade in technology, it requires either microsoft to make a new OS or intel to make a new proccessor. that's why we have been at a technological standstill, the only thing that have really changed is cell phones, and those are peices of crap anyway...

right now we are at our limits, since microsoft and sony rely on graphics and utter power, nintendos revolution should beat the fliping crap out of xbox 360 (where did they get 360 from?) and ps3.

SolidSnake76 05-13-2005 05:36 PM

PS3 will have the "Cell" chip and run at 4GHz

X-Box360 and Nintendo Revolution cc PS3

Exactly. This is why Nintendo's Revolution will be a much better choice in this next generation's console wars, as they'll be coming up with new and unique ways to play games.

Yeah...we'll see what they got though. The DS, a nice, new idea, but I don't like it. A Stylus?! Come on! What happens if you lose it? How you going to play? What if the calibrations off? And even worse, to much play, and it's no good. I've been to Target stores where it just doesn't work anymore it's been used so much.

I am though looking forward to the PS3's "Cell technology", but I don't know...also, even though I shouldn't, I have some "inside" info on what Nintendo is doing. Up here at work, we have an IBM rep that sits next to me, and IBM is working with Nintendo on making the system, so, I guess I'm lucky ;)

Dan Hibiki 05-13-2005 06:54 PM

The stylus fits into the back of the system, so it's REALLY hard to lose. Also, the system comes with a spare stylus, and spare styli (?) are sold in stores rather cheaply. Also, the system is very scratch resistant (except demo units), and the touch screen is very sensitive.

Oh yeah, also, the DS has a thumb pad so you can use your thumb to touch things or use the screen as a digital analog stick in some games, like Mario64.

It's a nice system. I have it, and I'm pleased with it.

InvaderX 05-13-2005 07:03 PM

madden looks so cool man i cant wait in to xbox360
so i can play halo3 online up to 50 players the max!!!!!! :p

Warmor 05-13-2005 09:31 PM

Hmmm...I'm still unsure about it though. If I could choose, I'd probably still go with the PSP...but for next gen systems, I'm exicted about what Nintendo may have to offer.

Virtual Fighter 05-13-2005 09:35 PM

I'm pretty sure nintendo will have the best system, while the rest are the most popular.

Damn nation.

Capt Throbberson 05-13-2005 09:51 PM

Microsofts making a mistake rushing this thing. Next gen wise, it looks pretty uninpressive. So far there's not much known about the PS3, but I like where the Revolution is going.

I'm sure its between Sony and Microsoft lol but we're still not fully aware of what the PS3 or Revolution can do so only time will tell. Anyway about the DS...

The DS had something new going on, but I don't really think its that big. I mean come on, 2 relatively small screens is pretty useless. Surely viewing a map on another screen while trying to focus on the main game on the screen below isn't too exciting.

The touch screen functionality is actually better than i thought. But the stylus is easy to lose as its quite small so you might just forget to put it back into its slot and leave it on a table somewhere, like I did with my PDA's stylus :( . And again, its not that great as i'd rather play games with buttons and i'm sure a lot of people will agree with me on that.

The PSP is the handheld for me, an excellent large display, brilliant graphics, USB support, an array of multimedia functionality and of course the games. For some reason I don't really enjoy the slightly "cuter" games Nintendo make and with their strength within their first party titles, Sony gets more third party support.

PS: I remember VF telling me the PSP doesn't have a headphone jack, well i'm sure by now you've found out that it does.

~Mastermax~ 05-15-2005 07:39 AM

do we really need to turn this into a thread about ds vs. psp?

no we've already gone over this, they are very different and impossible to compare, wait a year a bitch about the new gameboy instead of the DS.

If VF told you the sun was dark blue would you belive it?... Anyhow ofcourse Nintendo is going to pull out all stops with their new system. I really hope they strive to push it online for mass multiplayer gaming... which Microsoft and Sony have developed roots in. Speaking of Sony do not be suprised if their system is all around "better" than Microsoft's system. Sony has never really disappointed and every next generation system they have made has pushed the envelope..... Though Microsoft has just begun to get its feet wet in the gaming industry of consoles... dont expect them to be too far behind with there top of the line graphics and storage capabilities. Not too mention X-box live is pushing online console gaming to new hieghts.... It's going to be exciting and a fun ride to see what happens on down the road... Through all this however.... its all about the games... Im sure there are going to be new and exciting games to push the gaming industry to greater heights never seen before.....

yep my ps2 made by sony hasn't disappointed me yet with it's inability to play blue discs and how on playstation one games the screens shakes...

alamgir 05-15-2005 11:50 AM

Ok then, lets bitch about your ps2 mastermax.

montalvo 05-15-2005 02:28 PM

i obiviously support xbox to the max, but there is one thing they can do better and that is add more variation in genres. The first xbox had very little rpgs, which was a turn off for many people.(including those squinty eyed aliens from the pacific :D)

Capt Throbberson 05-15-2005 11:14 PM

MS is trying to make xbox360 as PC like as possible, which is one of the reasons why I'm not liking it. I already have a PC, and I think console and PC should be 2 diffrent experiences. If you just make a PC-clone console, then there's no real point in the console.
