MasterX05 05-31-2004 08:56 AM

way to go U spoil the movie before they even make it and the last book.

alamgir 05-31-2004 01:36 PM

Well te latest movie introduces sirius black. This one is supposed to be a lot darker then the others, and also the best out of all three. The third book however was also the best out of all 5.

marvel911 05-31-2004 02:28 PM

Never read the books, never saw the movies.

MasterX05 05-31-2004 02:41 PM

wuts the point in saying that,
nobody cares if youdidn't read or see it.

anyway, the movie isn't really darker than the first two movies, the books didn't get surreal til the fourth one.

i knew a kid who couldn't read it or anything cuz his parents thought the book was all about witchcraft...

also on a different note, i remember in my town we have a small jewish congregation and some lady came in on some meeting or something and said she was jewish, then she went on and on about jesus and other crap and then she went as far to say that harry potter is ruining childrens minds with witchcraft, and at that point everyone cracked up...
i just happened to walk in on it cuz i'm a counseler at the summer camp and i was looking for a ride home and my mom was in the meeting.

The Christian and Catholic religions (among many others) have placed magic, mysticalities, and mystical beings as created by the "devil", unless created by god. Harry Potter is all of those things, with a blonde rival to boot. Because of that, some hardcore christians/catholics/whatever boycott Harry Potter. Many chrisitians just don't let their families see it, because it is evil. The rest just see it, whether it conflicts with their beliefs or not, because they want entertainment and don't really care much. You should have seen or heard about the protests they used to have a while ago about Harry Potter.

Zpower 06-04-2004 10:24 AM

Umm I wasnt too thrilled when I heard Harry Potter was comming to the "big screen" in the first place. Though the movies are doing well and hey atleast it gets kids READING MORE. Though it is about witches and goons still reading is the only real reason the whole Harry Potter craz started. If I was a parent and my kids were hooked on ANY kind of book that would be superb :).

06-04-2004 04:04 PM

I saw the movie today as a field trip, the new one prisoner of azkaban.I liked it better than the other two.

Hadouken2yoursystem 06-05-2004 12:33 PM

My gay teacher used to say that, though we don't listen to him because he's gay and talks to much crap and not enough smack.

Iplay2win 06-05-2004 12:52 PM

1 guy told me harry potter's female friend made him horny while he was watching the movie...i was like dubya tee eff?

06-05-2004 12:55 PM

Hermione making him horny?Thats stupid.

VampireNinja 06-05-2004 01:01 PM

Roll..Thats wrong...Christians don't like Harry Potter..Cause im Catholic and i do everything,From Halloween to seeing Rated R movies..

Maybe its just me

Roll 06-05-2004 02:43 PM

I said Hardcore Christians and Catholics. They're basically the same thing, except with a different name, and possibly fewer/altered restrictions between the two. Magic in both religions are considered "devils work". Therefore, the hardcore religious being of the two religions will not even touch it.
So, yes... it is you.

MasterX05 06-05-2004 04:39 PM

funny thing is the books keep getting thicker and darker. That last book that women came out with was 700 something pages deep! lil kids were getting headaches. My lil sister didnt even get threw the 1st book. lol

alamgir 06-06-2004 06:04 AM

I saw the fill yesterday, kind of a dissapointment as it missed out a lot from the book. And it just wasn't as good as the other 2 either.
