Well, yesterday I go on my computer and go on my internet and it takes to to my homepage instead of it being yahoo it's something else and it's nasty...I think my cousin did it. Anyways I go to Tools and changed it but when i came back on it was till on the nasty home page. What do i do?

that happend to me onces.. i think ur cousing download porno stuff online. and it keeps the homepages. all i did was reformat my computer. its hard but that was my only choices ;)

What do you mean reformat? Is it hard....if it is i'm telling my cousin's mom.GRRRR

reformat. is like restarting ur whole computer. erasing ur ip. ur memory. something like a restoring cd.or a backup.

Log off the net.
Dump your Temporary Internet files and cookies.
Then open internet explorer while you have no connection to the web...and then set your homepage to blank.
Then log onto the net. And set your homepage to your favorite site.
You may need some sort of spyware removal tools like Adaware..you can do a search on google for it..it's free.

ok i'll try what nosoul said because i rather not reboot.
EDIT:Thank you both. Nosoul it worked...I think. Anyways, I'm going to tell on my cousin I hope him mom slaps him up over the head so hard it flys.
EDIT AGAIN: Ok i just tried it and the nasty homepage popped up again even after i scanned. and then when i scaned again it froze. GRRRR. I'm might reboot it if i have to. I'm going to have to download a lot of stuff back on.

that has to be the dumbest thing to do...never format a computer for a simple little problem like that...the correct way is the way nosoul mentioned and if it doesn't work then keep asking for help untill you find a solution that works for you

thesame thing happened to me but i kno i easy way go to control panal and look for a nasty name like saex masta and that it the way they do that is they install something in your cpu that causes it to come back nommatter howmany times you erase most likely they added a toolbar

EDIT: well i just rebooted my comp. Thanks anyway for trying to help. At least I learned never to leave ur cousin alone with the internet.
