my US gov't teacher(big bush supporter) ask the class to bring in a political cartoon supporting bush and whatnot. i got a different idea for that:

well if the assignment is to get a cartoon that is pro-bush......mabey you shouldnt turn that in.....(you werent too specific)
if the assignment is just to find any old political cartoon, then go for it (aslong as you dont break any of the school rules) |

VF... I don't think Solidsnake's teacher wanted them to make it.. but I think he/she wanted them to just bring one... Correct me if I'm wrong.
However, I did find the slogan very funny... the paradox brought out from the James Bond theme is simply uncanny.. I tip my hat to whoever thought of the idea.. Except remember that's some ppl's point of view.. and not for everyone. My take is, if you know that your school or whoever is in charge would get mad for bringing in something like that, then you might want to change it. Cause, at this point in ur life, you're not trying to make a big politcal statement.. but get a good grade on ur school work...so just go with the flow. The issue of free speech can always rare its beautiful head later on.. when you know your grades.. or anything affecting ur life cannot be harmed. Of course the issue of free speech has always been bent.. we're not as free as we think we are.. that's just the honest truth :biggrin: |

answer is no, the so called freedom of speech is just another excuses for people to think they got the right to say whatever they want. thing is, if people were free to say whatever came to their minds, many people would be hurt by it. take an example out of public places, would you be saying the goverent is poop and that communism was better then capitalism right in a public place ? answer is no, other wise you would have problems with the public and the governement ! i always thought the freedom of speech was a reality, but a few years ago i realised how bullpoopting i was to myself. it's nothing more then an illusion created in a purpose to make us think we are free when we are truly not ! its the same deal as DEMOCRATY, people acknoledge it thinking its the way to the people, when in the true world it actually gives dictatorship a lead to be, bush for example started a war with no evidence when you guys were saying no, where's the democraty in that ? our little taxes, we never asked for them, how come we got them ? those are just little examples of my sayings. so are we living in a free country ? answer is no and probably will always be ! |

kester and few others: its a request for his wall. not an assignment. he ASK. not TOLD the class. see the difference? as for the pic, i showed it to him, he did looked distusgted but said "its just a joke". if he sent me to the principle's office, then me and him woul fight. he can show off a picture of kerry being compare to frankenstien but i cant show a picture of bush/bond off? i gonna bring more tomorrow. :biggrin: |
as long as he realizes that you dont agree with him on politics, I see no need to stir things up just to make him mad.

who cares. If that was my class I'd hand it in without hesitation. Then you may get into a little bit of trouble..but then tell em to shove it up their arse.
