dam. Pit bulls are really getting the smackdown on. In Canada, we have a law where ALL pitbulls must wear a muscle outdoors in atempts to rduce the pitbull attacks we've had in the last 2 yrs (i think)

I used to own a pitbull. i have to say it was a little aggressive and mean....even to me. but i love my pitbull. and its wrong that they have to do such a thing. a dog is a dog......if it dont got rabbies or nothin,it dont derserve to die. And people shouldnt lose their right to own the dog that they want.
And yeah, not all pitbulls are mean...if it seriously has a habbit of attacking, then maybe you should train it.....but then again, people do train their pitbull to attack.But it dont matter, a dog is a dog...let it live. |

[color=#810541]Rage, I disagree. Those dogs aren't crazy, it's the people who get them and raise them to be like that. I have a friend who owns a girl pit bull. Her name is "Cookies" and she is the kindest dog in the world. She doesn't even bark and has been that way since they got her. The owner is a really calm guy who doesn't play fight with it or hit it. Most owners make the mistake of play fighting with their dogs and training them to attack. That is why they go coo-coo. They are strong dogs, so a lot of people train them to do stupid things and the dogs end up taking the wrap!

LOLZ :D Gieandfer: I'm not saying play fighting with your dog is going to make it a killer. I'm just saying if you constantly allow your dog to jump on you and be aggressive towards you, than if it's mad at you, it wont be afraid to do that to you and be more serious. It's like, in it's head, it knows it's allowed to jump on people and be aggressive. Also, just like people, dogs some times don't know their own strenght. Just a few days ago I heard a story of a family's pitbull killing their kid, a 7 year old. Pitbulls are killers. Other than that, what have they done to benefit society? |

why they attack is because their owners make them think they can attack. if they play tug of war or something with it and lose, then the dog thinks its stronger therefore thinking it owns them

As I said before, pit bulls are not the only breed attacking people. The only reason these stories are more common with pit bulls, is because they are a very popular breed, thats why it seems like every pit bull is agressive. It's the same with people... a lot of people kill and do horrible things, but does that mean we should all die because of them?

as for a story my oil painting teachers friend had this rotweiler... and he was like 6ft standing on his hind legs... and when these two dogs jumped over the fence into the rotweilers yard the rotweiler went all raging demon on them... he ripped the skin of the skull of one dog.... the other dog had deep gashes all over his body... lol I have a rottweiler . It's brown and dare I say I'm a lil afraid because he is kind of big. when he comes he just comes to smell me or lick me lol. he used to jump and lick people lol but he doesn't now so I don't really have a reason to be afraid. i'm not afraid with him in the night cause he does feel bad towards strangers (we do lock the place up thought and he doesn't try digging holes.
We had a fight over him with my neighbor though, that on the same night her stupid dog killed my favorite duck (we invited her and her stupid dog followed and bite the poop out of him) her dog popped out dead. she didn't hear anything or saw anything but insisted it was our dog. same when her other stupid dog came inside on the morning when we let our dog outside for his buissness. she threated to sue but the witch never did. aww rad never get it right ='(. but don't u think its still unfair to kill one type of dog because they think it is evil? What about those kids who have a pitbull that never did anything killed for no apperant reason? what about all the ones that haven't done anything....I mean sure they should be put to rest if they like are very aggresive or actually killed someone. But killing something because of stereotypes is dumb to me.
