In all honesty i wasn't that hoping for it, for i knew i would actually get downed by its lack of synergy with the EPISODE 4,5 and 6.
to my joy, i was blown away by the final episode of this trilogi for its way better then episode 1 and 2 united ! the fight scenes are excellant and the last battles ! (yeah they are fighting two battle at the same time) were just simply amazing ! one of the battle is too show how well a man can fight even without his trusty light saber. in fact in episode two obiwan tells anakin how stupid and useless a jedi is without a saber but in episode three obiwan shows us how wrong he was to say that. enough for the good points... even thou they are the greatest episodes, there is always lot holes in which a movie is bound to fall. in episode 4 obiwan nevers talks about his master. but int he end of episode 3 obiwan learns how to speak to quigonn even thou he's dead and thus have passed the last 18 years talking to his old master ! another plot hole is... leia says she remembered a bit of their true mother... yet in episode three she died when they were born thus she can't recall anything related to her real mother ! the biggest disappointment in all the star wars episodes... must be how easily ANAKIN fell to the dark side. i mean palpatine askes him to join him if he wants to save padme thus anakin discover he is a sith and should normally kill him for being one, but then he accepts as easily to join if it saves padme and thus starts killing all jedi's on the order of the emperor. can't be as fast as that to make up his mind huh ! one of the points i liked was the strenght of yoda, i mean come on, each jedi that died he was feeling it and was losing a part of his mind every time one died thus when they tryed killing him he had his saber already out already knowing how he did and worst he already knew that anakin had killed all the padawans of master yoda at the temple ! men i never that green dude had all of this strenght in him ! another goodness was MACE WINDU... man he was even stronger then yoda himself and proved it by defeating all by himself the emperor and even was about to kill him while yoda couldn't even stand the emperor enough to actually win ! too bad mace windu died because of anakin who actually chopped windu's hand off ! otherwise to anyone wanting tosee the movie, i never though i would say this about the first trilogi fo the star war franchise, but episode 3 is all exciting and fun as much as the episode 4,5 and 6 ! ditch 1 and 2, 3,4,5 and 6 are all you need to find the whole story ! BTW, the obiwan / anakin battle shows us how much anakin had to learn more from his master ! poor obiwan and padme though, they are the ones that suffered the most out of all this ! |

LOL I saw it yesterday also SSJKarma i made it my obligation to see it.
It was very entertianing.The begining scene in space was very humorious. I mean who would've thought R2 D2 was so leet...lol Those dog bots or whatever were so humorious...when they were being defeated as they were. And Yoda was so damn amazing when he was fighting it was pretty fun that scene when he walked in the councilors room and blew 2 guards away with "THE FORCE". Yoda was probally the highlight. And obiwan I never knew obiwan defeated Dark vader.....lol He slayed him and left him for dead and to think that was his student...rather dramatic.... And what's so messed up was when Dark vader attempted to save his wife after forgetting he had basicily attempted to kill her....and in some sense semi- succeeded!!! Some points were disappointing but all the fights were good. My favorite fight was that scene as you said two fights at once.. Yoda verse councilor.. Obiwan verse Al That was very Tensing... mace windu died in a crappy way :plain: i never knew R2-D2 could do that lol pretty cool :cheesy: the part that made me laugh but i knew i shouldn't have was when the little jedi kid was being shot lol...lol...i feel so wrong...i must stop myself...lol

actually i think it was a good part showing how at least 1 jedi kid escaped anakin's wrath !
as for him turning, well he killed mace windu he seen what a true sith could do and and yet the only thing he did was wonder what he had done after that when the emperor showed him what to do he did without asking questions ! so in all its turning to the dark side too fast ! i mean come on, the emperor teold him to eliminate all jedi's ! he did without asking why without saying they all have the same goal just different views he just did ! for a man who asked so much questions before why is he suddently not asking any and worst why has he believed a dak sith would actually keep his word if they were so bad ! see it was too fast, i would have seen him change a bit and turn on the jedi because they were restraining him, as in not trusting him cause for all the times he was in ! they never trusted him... what would have changed his mind on the matter was nmace windu telling him that if he found palpatine truly be the emperor they seeked then he would give his trust in anakin and he did ! only to lose it as fast as that ! besides those facts, the movie is cool ! |
The wayy Anakin turned was vague. The defining moment was when he went to see Yoda and Yoda told him to learn to let go. At that point, he couldn't... and in trying ot learn the power to save Padme, he gave himself to the dark side.
And I'm quite astonished at the fact that Mace Windu was the one that actually disfigured the emperor/darth sidious... lol.. That's quite astonishing. Then there's Yoda and the Wookies... when he killed the clones that tried to kill him, the way he climbed on Chewbacca was very funny.. Lol.. but it was a good movie all round. I also liked when Yoda met the Emperor. The guards at the door. He took them out in a twinkle of an eye. Everyone in the theatre laughed at that :biggrin: Edited By blanka09 on 1117157569 |
when yoda climbed on chewbacca's arm almost everybody was saying awwwwwww.... the fight that i liked was when Obi wan and the general were fighting it was pretty cool

Ahh it was a brilliant film. It left me with hardly any unanswered questions and it fits perfectly in the series. Looks like the saga ends and what a final film episode 3 was.
One question though. Why did Yoda give up in the fight against Sidious? They seemed pretty equal in terms of skill. Maybe it was because he thought he wasn't powerful enough? Or is it because he wanted anakin to kill him? Or is it something else? |
the movie was good, it needed more wookies and boba fett and less emotional poop...

actually, when yoda told the emperror that he had missplaced his trust in anakin i think it was a plug to fit into the 6th movie !
afterall yoda always see's the future and he's kinda doing good at understand it. so i say he saw that he wouldn't be able to defeat him and that LUKE would bring back his father from the darkside ! as for the fight being equal, well look at it this way... against DOKU yoda had no problem holding off DOKU's force. while he had pretty much big problems holding's off the emperror. thus force wise... the emperror was too strong for yoda ! a scene were that is evident is when the emperror is throwing off platform at yoda. the emperror had no problem throwing them off while yoda seemed to have a lot of problem holding em off. thus it prooved that yoda wasn't strong enough to defeat the emperror ! |
Well, you have to understand one thing. According the the movies and stories and books and what not, the dark side of the force is based off of one's emotions and the anger rising within one turning to hate and all that good stuff :biggrin:
In other words, the dark side of the force would sometimes appear to be more ascertive than the light side. That's why you're more likely to see the emperor (the dark side) throwing out lightning attacks than Yoda or any of the good Jedi. All Windu did was repel the lightning attack back at the emperor and that was it. That's exactly how the light side works and how the light side can always defeat the dark side. I don't think the emperor was actually "too strong" for Yoda. It was all about the placing. Just like Obi wan and Anakin; the emperor was on higher ground, and thus had an advantage. It's much more easier to throw a heavier object downwards than to lift it and throw it upwards ... or repel it. That mere fact helped the emperor there and Yoda had to find a way to retreat. The emperor of course was much stronger than Dooku and not up to par with Yoda... however the emperor wasn't "too strong" for Yoda. As far as I can tell, the most powerful Jedi with the saber was Mace Windu and the wisest was Yoda :biggrin: |

Maybe at urs... the twinkle of an eye methaphor might have been a hyperbole in it's place. Before they could do anything, they fell... cause Yoda used some force push or something on them and well, defeated them :biggrin:

Yoda doesn't get pushed off the platform, both of em fly off. Sidious shoots lightning at yoda, yoda uses the force to repel and they both fly to a platform on a lower level. However yoda doesn't manage to hang on because of what seemed to be his height and so he falls. Sidious on the other hand manages to pull himself up, but none of them at this point had used the force.

actually Blanka09... Yoda himself said that he failed miserably cause he couldn't match the emperror !
in all cases he did tryed his best but couldn'T match his strenght. higher ground or not, he just couldn't match him... BTW remember what yoda says in episode 5 ? nothing is impossible for the one who wields the force. thus being on a higher ground normally wouldn'T affect the force thus he wouldn't have a difficult time repelling them ! know what i like the most about yoda ? the fact that unlike the other, he uses the force to actually fight and uses it all the time. after all a creature of his age cannot fight like that unless he uses the force to propel himself. in JEDI KNIGHT (the game) there is a power named ABSORBSION. i like the fact that yoda uses this power. in any case, yoda was leet... but not leet enough to defeat the emperror ! too bad if MACE WINDU had killed the emperror the whole war would have been solved ! |
Yeah the emperor was probably more powerful than yoda which is why he gave up even though they looked pretty even while fighting, but i'm sure the emperor let himself get into the position with mace Windu. He used his electricity on Windu, it hardly did any major damage and actually looked like it tired the emperor down, but when he did throw Windu out of the window he did it with ease. He probably wanted Anakin to chop Windu's arm off to see if he was ready to join the darkside.
What would have ended the war and more like what should have ended the war was Anakin's death. Obi Wan should have finished him off rather than leave him. Surely he could have sensed Anakin's life when he was leaving. |

e didn't flicked in my theater he entered and when the guards turned to him, he simply raised his hand and continued to eadvance while the guards gone crushing their asses against the wall !
yeah the emperror was using all of this against anakin, but if you see before anakin enters, he does crawl like mad knowing he's been defeated ! like the dark sith he is just used the momentum of anakins arrival to actually save his own butt ! |
