all games from the 80 were kinda sympl n shtuff. even though some did a better job than others when using the power of the console. i mean, u look at some games for snes n genesis and they both have great games... and really sucky looking ones. ex. dk vs. ... well just pick
lol remember alex kid for the master system? |
Back In The Day Game Play Was Much More Better But Rubbish In Graphics. Now Dayz Ppl Think Ps2 And Stuff Are Better Because Of Graphics!. THERE WRONG :alien:
|
i cant argue with good graphics. if you think about it, all games have been already done... there is no fixing that. but making them better with new graphics... now thats a way to get attention. i love the fact that i can play sonic in great xbox graphics. you cant say that ninja gaiden's graphics arent the ssss! if it werent for that, i might just not play it. i like to see smooth animation, realistic movements, like jet set. sure they have cell shading.. but man they captured those movements nicely. realism is good... but lol lets try to not go too far or itll get kinda... like..."oh man, am i in the game or... crap im confused"
for me, if the graphics dont catch my eye i wont play the game. like the original ninja gaidens and megaman. just didnt cut it for me. now, if its a tennis game graphics dont matter. lol, games for the commodore 64 now, those were nice. worst graphics ever, 8bit... lol but just entertaining as heck. |
Ryu actually had a pair of shoes..hmm..
|
lol well works better when fighting on rocks n glass no? lol

well if you want the real story behind street fighter 1 and 2 !
back then there was a game called KARATE CHAMPIONSHIP which had a lot of moves in it, but it wasn't very action action, you had to time a move so it hitted the opponent and the first who hitted was was winning a point ! everyone liked it since it was the ost advanced fighting game ever made up to then ! so capcom came in and wanted to mkae a game similar to it with as much moves but with faster gameplay ! they came in with STREET FIGHTER 1 characters in it were as these... RYU, SAGAT, GEN, ADON, MIKE (MIKE BISON aka BALROG in usa probably came up form him) and a few others that were unknown to me sine i never saw them in any other SF games ! the end boss was SAGAT and in the ending if you had won you could see RYU giving the FLAMING SHORYUKEN which burned SAGAT chest ! the game did great when it came out, everyone played it it was better then karate championship was ! but there was abig problem to it... the controls, they were very sluggy, sometimes you could imput the hadoken but ended up with shoryuken or a simple kick but no hadoken throwed in. so the game got down as fast as it came out. Since the game didn't made it like it was suppose to, it was still a great game, i have it actually on my computer right now ! it's on... WWW.MAME.DK on the name STREET FIGHTER let's go on with the story... capcom decided to go on with a new kind of engine, an engine that could be fast and an engine where controls could be able to follow the action ! problem were the joysticks back then... they just weren't made for such actions so capcom had to wait until better joysticks came out. in 1992 the solution came, companyes had developped a few games that were going action action and very fast action... now was the right time, so the company letted out their little baby that they had worked so hard int he past 5 years... thus STREET FIGHTER II was born and going live int he arcades ! can't say it that lud, but it was such a success that even today the we are still speaking about the greatest fighting game ever made ! you know the rest so i won't speak of the other SF games ! EDIT: oh and kingofheart... tell me where you see shoes on ryu's feet ! i see his toes man ! Edited By SSJKarma on April 19 2004 at 13:41 |
i thought the boxer was named balrog
|

Eric...I was showing Karma the shoes...
|
The original SF was very sluggish indeed. When I played it, I had a problem hitting my opponent, and my opponent always kicked my a** in 10 seconds. Especially the jumping I would jump very weirdly and the rate of the jumps were bad. But without this, we wouldn't have SF at all. No Vs. Series(Well no XMvSF or MvSF at least) No SFO(Or maybe it would be Capcom Fighter online)
But it was a good start... |
elena tell me where do you see shoes... i see round things as foots, as far as i am concerned i have never seen shoes that are looking like toes !
the brown thing, is the shadow of his legs on the foots. right now you cannot relaly say, but in game that brown line disappear as ryu moves ! thus i know it is not shoes but a shadow, not very detailed, but back then detailed characters weren't really there ! trust me, he has no shoes ! |
They look like those shoes that are from Asia that I have seen in some movies, not sure though.. :D
