my copy of marve| vs capcom 2 for the ps2 is not workin so well..it starts up, gets to character selection screen, allows u to pick characters, and just b4 u get to fight ur opponent..the whole screen freezes white..been like this for a bit now..what to do....its the game not the ps2...

if it's not original then ur blue disc won't work. Or it's bootleg. All PS Games are Black or the CD is scratch

Actully, Evil Akuma, There Are Original Blue Disk Games, For My Mvc2 Is a blue Disk. Da Real, Try Using A Disk Cleaner, On The Disk, Or A Cd Cleaner for Your Ps2

This is the most asked question when it comes to the PS2 when it starts to say disc error for blue disk games and regluar Playstation games.

It may be that the disk is either scrathed or dusty, You might go to any eletronic or videogame store they should have disk cleaning item. And if youthink its your playstation the best thing is to send it to SONY themselfs to fix it.

The same happen to my Tekken tag game at first it would like skip and freeze up then it always came up with disk read error.

lol i had the same problem open ur ps2 and then blow inside..my sound wasnt working for any games and my mvc screen turned white too..that should work..

Let me state something. DUMBflipS PS2 READS BLACK AND BLUE DISKS. Not to mention audio and dvd. Thank you. =/

ahhh...X-F shut up -.- da real x try buying that doctor thing for scratches my friend has one and it actually works.

you must have a nasty deep scratch somewhere, if you cant afford disk cleaner use toothpaste, rub it on let it sit for about 2 minutes then softly rub it off with a sponge and wash it off. Works really well.

toothpaste...hmmm sounds risky..

I HAD THE SAME PROB.

The ps2 laser scanner is weak so when you put your disk in turn your ps2 upside dow to where the ps2 logo is faceing down. This helps power the laser and it will then read the disk.

ive played games in there with 500x more scratches, its not dust, cuz i clean it(with shirt and wet sponge), dun think its the laser..cuz i use another blue disc game and that works perfectly fine, where do i get the doctor thingy? and in the event of me going to a game sotre....what to ask for?

its somthing wrong with your comp just try to clean it myn had the same prob lol but myn wouldnt even get to the screen or nothing i had to buy another ps2

like u could go to a store and ask if they have a "game doctor"
Or anything that can clean disk. They will know what u are talking about.

STILL not working

All you have to do is take your disk and get a rag and get some alchol and put it on the disk and not the drinking alchol you use.
