The one that barely made the list was...

11. EMINEM

You can vote him,but he's ranked last on this list...but nonetheless.....he's made it to one of the greatest to grace the game.

These are represented as icons...poineers...painted the path way for others....you could call them hip-hop heros. :butbut:

Well do the damn thing and vote. :sneaky2:

P.S.=I voted for B.I.G. because he was a true thug.... a true king pin...he put it down....tupac wasn't as tough as B.I.G..in my overall opinion......when they battled...B.I.G. had a semi- advantage lyrically...like he had a natural high.....but tupac just had that poet...thing flowing correctily.....and he did have visions..they both did....but none the less...mines goes to B.I.G.....he held it correct...if we were to keep it on the level....thug status.....going into hip-hop.

I voted for Nas, he my favorite rapper and keeps it hot all the time. Raps bout the truth and real things (like every1 up there does), and has some catchy lines.

Bob~Marley4004 07-12-2005 06:56 PM

Damn.. It's hard to select between Nas and BIG..

(how the hell can you forget about 2pac ??)

Well, I don't like 2pac that much. Now I didn't say he wasn't a good rapper. He was a very good rapper, and wrote alot of good songs. But the majority of the songs were about killing this and that. Which I get really get tired of hearing.

I like Nas because he doesn't rap about killing this and that alot. He is a very good layed-back rapper. And he made songs of things that were going around at the time. When did you hear 2pac rap about 9/11 ?? Or 2pac wrapping backwards ?? He prolly could have did, but he didn't.

I like BIG because he's cool. Very talented.. and most of the songs he wrote, they had stories with them. Which I really like. You could break down some of his songs and write a book if you want to.. LOL  . But anyways, I like his style.

Well Nas's only became such hype after he publicly dissed Jay-z with "Ether"....which was very through. :D

If we were to just go off beefs....

Then you need to hear that joint with Busta Rhymes,EMINEM,50 Cent. When they clap at Jarule.....by fair one of the most public dissing ever.....

Wyclef Jean, was never that good of an artist to me....

His collabaration with Mary.J.blige was only good because Mary.J.Blige is always on point....(If you haven't noticed I used one of her songs as my aim sound).

His best single song is...."P.J.'s"

I think you may respect him for his CEO affiliations over many up raising artists. :eh:

ok thats it enough witht he jayz bullpoop. i like jay z and all but he is NOT i repeat NOT the greatest. nas would own jays any day and jayz thinks hes so big jus cause tupac is dead(or alive he just doesnt know) and he has beyonce. big deal

LOL now I'm contradicting my vote by defending tupac...but...

Man tupac wasn't alaways thug termed..

He made a deep song=

About his mom
How he gets around
That joint about what he'd do after he's gone.
and that dramatic joint with old dirty bastard I think...(He wa son a cross or something)

Tupac was actually softier than B.I.G.

But the interviews showed otherwize...when tupac died...the interview made B.I.G. look a tad bit bitch like...

And I rate Rakim as 3rd.

Bob, 2pac died before 9/11. If your talkin about when they 1st attacked the twin towers with bombs in the basement a whileback then yea i think ur right, but the recent 9/11 with the airplane hijacks, im pretty sure he was dead.

Jay-Z clearily said in the CD/album "In my lifetime vol.1."

Jay-Z"They pay me and think I be a rappier...but i'm only a hustla...they be slugs...and I'm only a hustla." :plain:

I forgot what track......but he admits he's not a rappier...just got money fromt he flow...

But even though Nas didn't get as much spotlight as Jay-Z I think he's better also...

But when I made the list..it wasn't just the rhymes...it was the pratice they set into place....

I mean gawd damn Jay-z had hot ass music videos.....he's worth 400 million dollars...and then some.....he has really put the game in a cobra clutch....and hate it or love it...he made the list.....everyone on the list was known for something...

Nas has some hot ass underground rap....probally the best.

when he made one mic..I was shocked..I said to myself "Damn,he's a soldier."

and if this was based off just rhymes...I would've put Bone thugs on the list..in a heart beat. :sneaky2:

SBYRD: .. well.. Jay-Z also diss Nas worst than Nas diss him on Ether.. the song is Takeover. And about 2pac.. I didn't say he didn't have deep songs, but the majority of the songs were about killing and all that other you know what. And Jay-Z gets most of his spotlight because he is with Rocafella now.. remember, Nas is by himself.. he has a few good friends, but he doesn't have a "group" thing. The only group thing Nas had was "The Firm" . When himself, foxy brown, AZ, and Nature.. I believe.

Yeah.. Jay-Z is NOT the best.. but he is a very good rapper.. I'm not going to take that away from him.

dark-guardian: Yeah.. that's what I'm talking about.

gieandfer: Doesn't mean what his lyrics say.. I mean that, he never made a song just for that perticular thing.

i still say jayz is doesnt really deserve to be there.

bob: true but still, tupac just wrote what he felt like writing. nas also did by writing what was around him while tupa wrote what he felt

Bob~Marley4004 07-12-2005 07:35 PM

LOL.. Who doesn't write what they feel like writing? That's all about writing raps.

gieandfer 07-12-2005 07:39 PM

yea but its ur choice of what to rap about. nowadays they are more into the clubbin and all that stuff when back then they were more expressive

thedesktops 07-12-2005 07:44 PM

B.I.G of course. He is the Legend Killa!

gieandfer 07-12-2005 07:49 PM

nah i go for rakim cause im sick of always seeing on every list #1 tupac and number two BIG then followed by them is eminem or nas and stuff. its time for a change. they had their glory now its other peoples turn

Bob~Marley4004 07-12-2005 07:54 PM

Rakim is also good.. but no1 really pays attention to him. =/

gieandfer 07-12-2005 08:01 PM

^ i know. if i was famous id tell everyone to listin to him. god people just like the people of today who cant even rhyme as good as these people. like 50 cent. i like his song but hes not considered a rapper to me. he uses the weak ryhmes

Bob~Marley4004 07-12-2005 08:04 PM

heh.. anyways, the song that Jay-Z went off on Nas badly.. is, Takeover.

gieandfer 07-12-2005 08:06 PM

i know that song but i dont really like it.

Exactly what I was going to say 2pac died in 1996 and 9/11 was in 1998 so yeah..But Im sure 2pac did have a song that came out about 9/11 a while back..Im not sure though but he still has music coming out so who knows..

Anyways I vote 2pac and anyone around where I live will tell you 2pac was the best rapper ever..

My favorite rapper is T.i though his cd urban legend was flipin cold..I like every song on the dam cd..

2pac wrote so many songs which he planned to have come out before he was dead. Songs that are coming out now are songs he wrote during his days of living.

If you really listen to some of 2pac lastest songs.. and songs while he was living (the ones he did in the studio), you will see that he doesn't even sound like himself on the lastest songs that are dropping.

Damn computers can do alot of things..

gieandfer 07-13-2005 10:56 AM

and as for eminem. he is good only he is kinda losing it now. hah get it? just lose it? kinda crony but anyways when he ahd the songs like "the way i am", "the real slim shady", and "my name is" he was excellent. and his other cd the eminem show i like ALL songs on it. so eminem would probably be number 3 or 4

SBYRD5 07-13-2005 01:38 PM

*sigh*

Big Pun(latino rappier)
Big L
E-40
Beanie Sigel
Freeway
Common Sense
Kayne West
The Clipse
...ect...

Aren't in the top 11 man....

I mean undisputed people...

Like if you go to asia....or anywhere period..they will know who your talking about....even if they don't speak english... :sneaky2:

They made thier impact to the game..no lie...they would make a lsit of top 20...but not a list of the greatest 11 toe ver grace the earth.......and you can marinate over it all you want...

but you know it's true...

Big Pun's death...promoted him a great deal.........but in an overall comparison his impact tot he overall game..wasn't as big as these 11.....

And all of you know it....

gieandfer 07-13-2005 02:19 PM

so ur saying big bun death was in vain? and big l didn make an impact? az is underground so i can understand him but god damnit kanye west doesnt deserve to be there. hes a new comer. rappers between 1988-1998 id say would be good.

Hell if it was a list of top 20...alot of peoploe would get in....but when we queeze the orange...to it's most extreme juices...we find these men as the most tangiable pulp. :sly:

gieandfer 07-13-2005 02:36 PM

well big l should still be at least number eight

Vash 07-13-2005 03:44 PM

I think The Game should be ranked 1 he's my fav rapper and his song's are tight because it's mainly Gangsta rap just like that song he made called WestSide Stories, but the best up there would have to be Biggy.

Edited By Vash on 1121294753

Bob~Marley4004 07-14-2005 08:34 AM

Kayne West a new comer? Nah.. hes not that much for a new comer. But I believe he deserves to be up there right now. He is just not on a level of 2pac or BIG.. and others.. YET!

The game is also a very good rapper.. but he isn't on some of those rappers level either. But man, he diss 50 cent bad. The song is like 14-15 minutes of str8 dissing 50.

gieandfer 07-14-2005 09:54 AM

but still kanye west isnt really that good. people just like him cause hes been "through the wire"

and the game number one? id love to see alot of people number one but to me its not about songs. its about how good you were as a rapper

blanka09 07-14-2005 11:59 AM

Just to bump this a bit... who the hell said 9/11 was in 1998 ?? I thought that was 2001 O_O

And for the list; I'd have to sayy SBYRD5 did a pretty good job. TuPac was good but he had his flaws when you read deep into his story. And Biggie's flows were more 'enjoyable'... although he had some hardcore songs, e.g with bone thugs... but overall his songs were more about enjoying oneself... that's why some give Pac an edge.

As for kanye and all the game, they're still "new" to be in the all time list. kanye has talent and the game has his flows... but they haven't made their print as renowned rappers yet.

Then there's the JayZ vs Nas thing... whoever says JayZ shouldn't be there is a bit off the top. I mean, it took me a while to respect JayZ too, but if anyone listens to the song blueprint 2 (his reply to Nas' ether) you'll know that JayZ is no joke. I mean...

Quote:

Can't y'all, see that he's fake, the rap version of TD jakes
Prophesizing on your CDs and tapes
Won't break you a crumb of the little bit that he makes
And this is with whom you want to place your faith?
That's quite nice if you ask me... and then there's the collaboration with Linkin park. The Collision course disc. That CD was commendable in my opinion. The Crossover was simply amazing.

And for good measure, let's not forget Snoop Dogg. Snoop Dogg really isn't half bad. If you notice all the songs with Dr. Dre that make it big time ?? He's the one that writes the lyrics while the doctor does the producing

-Travon-(Lil-h) 07-14-2005 12:33 PM

My comments..

Nas diss at JAY-Z....hardest of all time...either is just bad...point blank...
The game - he is ####ut he is better then the g-unit....
50- diss anyone juss to sell records..he needs a new gimmick
K. West..he aint new...he produce for a long time..as for rappin he is gettin der
