i need a forum that can enable me to use POLLs for my web site UNDERGOUND ARENA ! doing a new thing for the game and i need that thing ! the forum my hoster offer is just plain boring and has nothing to do with anything ! so i ask, where did you all get your IB ? |
<font color="blue">Polls for your site or for the forum?
|
think it would better to have it on the WEB SITE. but i could use it on the forum too.
let's say on the WEB SITE ! is IKONBOARD FREE ? |
bravenet.com ?
|
i think this forum is ikon board.....
|
SSJKarma-I have all your answers...lol. Ok..I would suggest you to use the Ikonboard forums. You can download the board at www.ikonboard.com . It will setup a forum automatically but if you would like to add it to your site...example: www.ssjkarma.com/forum . This board is great b/c it supports phpbb. This means you can change the looks of the board by applying a skin to it.
About the poll question thing-There are many different ones out there. I think www.bravenet.com has a great poll. You can customize it to the way you want it. If you ever have any questions about the forum or the poll plz pm me and ill help. Hope this solves your questions. Oh and IKonboard is free |
yes. get ikonboard. or invision board. but make sure you find a good host. or why don't you get hyperboards? that is he best board ever... *choke*

aaaarrrrggggg !
free WEB SITES sucks ! why can't i find one with at least 50mb of free space that enable me to use my own CGI scripts ? oh well... thanks for the answers guys, i look into it ! |
Well your using freewebs.com which give you the best offers for a free site. Um..i dont think they support cgi scripts for the free members. Finding a good hosting site is the hard part. Good luck!!!
|
well, i just though of a way to avoid all the restrictions !
i'll creat a free accounts on tripod which able me to use CGI i made up ! i actually took em on the web :colgate: they only offers 20mb but hey, i don't need that much for my CGI, so i'll put my CGI on TRIPOD but my web page will be on freeweb ! that's probably the best i can do about it all ! for others, seems i cannot get onto BRAVENET saying it doesn't exist. as for ikonboard... well my computer freeze when i'm going on the site ! so i'll forget about it ! |
Dont put your ikonboard on TRIPOD if you hate pop-ups. There are so many of them on tripod. Well if you pay for the service then you wont have them but i think you still have to have a banner saying there name. Not real sure.

Oh and IKonboard is free[/quote] that's ridiculous(some parts of the post i mean) you have two choices karma, php or cgi. some choices for php forums are: phpbb(free) invisionboard(free) vbulletin(costs money) burning board(free) some choices for cgi are: ubb ikonboard and now for the hosts: php=tripod cgi=netfirms those are the only two hosts i know. just download the forum software and follow the instructions to install it(the instructions are pretty simple really, if you don't know then....i guess you're a retard! hahaha lol). almost all the boards have the same features, e.g. customizable skins, boards/topics/replies/polls, ban power :), etc anyways, i'm not even going to mention those crappy forums like hyperboards and ezboard. so good luck |
