ok, i have an old computer and i want to know if theres like a program that can deleted all the stuff i DONT need on my computer but, theres somethings i wanna keep, like for example: Weather Bug: tells you the weather for the whole week...so basically i want to get a program that gets rid of anything i dont need but i choosed what not to deleted... like for example: paint...
also, i try using that disk degragment that roll suggested but it didnt help out at all... andi was happy yesterday cause i raised my 88.8 mb to 638 mb :)....and theres ALOT more spaces being used...

hmmmmmmmmmm.... I would recommend going to download.com and searching for cleanup progams.

id just take the crap you want to save and put it on cdrs, and then wipe out the harddrive

Ok first make a list (in your head or paper i don't care) of the programs you are absolutely sure you don't need. Then go to:
Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs and select the programs you don't want on your computer.

Disk Defragmenting is good choice, but you should use Disk Cleanup everyday and also download Ad-Aware which searches for spywayre/adware on your computer. You can find it at Download.com I think like the other guy said.

Now just tell me what kind of processor you have, the speed of it, how much ram you have and stuff like that. Maybe you just need more ram ???

did that... now i have 412 mb of spaces on my hard drive... i got 256 ram i think.... and 3 pentium... not sure though but thats my guess since i have windows 98...

get a program eraser program and btw i think weather bug is spyware...delete that too...and

and no weather bug is NOT spyware, cause i had an anti spyware and all the anti program and it didnt detect anything....so please know your info before you post....

umm registry cleaners wont do much..the registry ranges form about 40mbs in size so there no much you can get back with it...i'm guessing you have an old HD with the capacity of 10gb give or take...LOL and you wanted XP...for XP you need 1.5GB's of space free :biggrin: i suggest you delete those big programs like photoshop in such (but who would wanna do that :biggrin: ) or get $70 and go get yourself a 40-80GB hd that's on sale

y dont u just go 2 an auction and get another comp they wont be that expensive :)

buy a new comp, there like 500 bucks and youll get a decent comp that can play games. like even the new ones ut2004 at low settings

if i had that much money i wouldnt be asking for help.. come on now, i would be buying more parts for computer IF i had money...
