my dad put up this super internet security thing.... (norton internet security 2004, *essential protection form viruses, hakers, and privacy threats....*)

i can log in to sfo but i can't get in any servers....... i tried goign to options. like it says on the error message but it does nothin to help at all...... is there any way i can get around it?

please help me out.... thank you.....

okay... heres some info i can give to you.

1: go to "Options"
2: click "NETWORK"
3: and check the box that says, I'am behind a firewall or a proxy
4: also, check the box that says, old connection mode (for firewalls)

Also, sometimes the servers are full.. and you should know that the servers below are the ones that usually are working.

Dor server
Sfo tournament server
Sfo backup server

Umm...
..also, where it says Local IP, try typing in AUTO... and you can try to disable that firewall..but i wouldn't because it stop those hackers, viruses, etc...

Check the old connection mode for firewalls box only. Don't check the one at the top.

Well you can always deactivate your firewall temporarily.

Try using the downloadable version of it and see what happens or if you have aol use internet explorer where start and programs is or MSN.

Nferno666 08-20-2004 06:22 PM

umm you don't need to check anything in options for SFO...if you install norton firewall then once you open uo new programs it will ask you to allow the ports it needs or not...if it didn't ask you that you goto your norton firewall option and enable it yourself permitting the ports needed to connect/play SFO...that's how things work with norton firewall..not sure about internet security though...both dot he same thing.
