i install that link i got for divx and i still can't play avi's
here's the message i got

Use windows media player. You don't actually have to open up the divx when you're trying to play a video.. I find that it works good with the windows media player :)

i still get the same problem with windows media player...

i just installed it 3 minutes ago

i'm pretty sure it wasn't the installation...

Hmm.. I forgot there are different types of divx codecs for different kinds of computers.. Go here to find the right one. There's other types if divx doesn't work fine for you, here they are :biggrin:

Recommended for you: DivX 5.2 for Windows 98/ME

Hey max, why dont you give me your e-mail, and ill just e-mail you the codec i use... It works perfectly fine with any type of video file, that includes .avi

thats the one i got, i made sure i picked it.

and heres the error for windows medai player

Did you try downloading one of the codecs from the other link i gave you? If you did, and that doesn't work. Just go to yahrz
