Well, as you have all noticed (or guessed) there will not be any voting for the next character (this time).

Why you ask? Well, many reasons.

This has been LONG in development (a lot of the people around me (lefty) have been asking me to just "step in" and do this a LONG time ago) and finaly it has happened.

Some may like it, some may not. There is a good chance that this forum will be flooded with reasons of why it SHOULD have been Gambit, but, b4 we start that argument, lets just remember one thing... "it is done". No one can change it @ this point.

If you DO need those "reasons", just read some of the old threads. They are all in there (somewhere).

Scott... will finaly have a place in here. There is not much else i can say.

You forgt to tell everyone it has to be an X-Men. My choice is Magneto, but if he is to hard to make then I go with Gambit.

Well, we could try to open up this discussion by analyzing the fighting styles of the existing characters. By having a character with a different style, the game would be more varied, and potentally more fun. We already know that an X-men member is likely, so we'd need to take that into account too.

Magneto is pretty awesome when you do his special attack.

You know, i could have swore that back when there was just Ryu....there was something i think it was in the FAQ saying that Cyclopes would be the next char. Then after that there would be voting for characters. Plus since he's TMy's favorite, it's only obvious that he would be next. But there's something else.....With Chun Li and Wolvie being more "up close" characters instead of fireball chuckers, i think Cyclopes is a perfect addition at this point (yes, i know chun li has a fireball but it's not her main attack obviously) to counter Ryu.


I have an idea, TMy. how about we vote on his player 2 color scheme? Personally i LOVED his black outfit from MvC2. It's just a thought ;)

And By the way, after reading the replys to this post it seems as if you people don't get that CYCLOPES IS THE NEXT CHARACTER.

I think having Cyclops is great! He has more than enough moves... people can't (or better not) complain! Good luck on making his Forward to Down+2P super (aimed Optic Beam)! Combos can be possible with him, because it is as easy as hitting LK, LK, FK, FK!

And people, Cyclops doesn't suck. I think that there was a discussion on how it us the user that sucks, not the character in question.

See now, using Cyclops in my opinion proves you totally want to hurt the person, because I think he is over powered. Now Cyclops is one of the few cases where I would purposely choose Akuma only to give you a Raging Demon.

There's that, too... but wasn't it the same feeling with Wolverine and Chun Li? And people got around that problem pretty quickly ('cept Chun Li's Lightning Kick).

i would have liked Cammy,Storm,Charlie,or Rogue to be the next O.o

Everybody here is using phrases like "it should be" describing their opinions on the next character. Isn't this all a moot point? TMyApp already chose Cyclops as the next character. If you feel the need to argue about future characters, start figuring out who the next Street Fighter character is. By the time all of you have stopped bitching over the details TMyApp would be done with Cyclops and ready to start the next character.

yes. we need someone that could chuck fireballs too..lol.........cyclops is a little cheap.. gambit is..cheap......um spiderman is good :).... but hes not an xmen... iceman is cheap...magneto is ok.. rogue is ok but doesnt chucks fireballs.. lol... so.........Tmyapp should make a decision.. :)

Okay, now this ticks me off. If anybody reads the old posts they would have seen me trying to get Akuma or Ken as the next character which was taken as Chun Li. Now the reason that this couldn't happen was, because Akuma, Ken and Ryu are to alike and it will be boring, but IS CYCLOPS NOT LIKE RYU!?! Lets just go into some review why don't we:

Cyclops: Optic Blast = Ryu: Hadouken
Cyclops: Rissing Uppercut = Ryu: Shoryuken
Cyclops: Cyclone Kick = Ryu: Hurricane Kick
Cyclops: Super/Mega Optic Blast = Ryu: Shinkuu Hadouken

Now is there not a similarity??

I don't like B.B. Hood period. Why don't you aim for having Akuma as the next SF character? I'm all for that. I've seen people wanting Charlie, but he is too slow compared to Wolverine and Chun Li, so he should be added only after some other slow people are added.

Let me jsut remind you all that Charlie has the quickest release and recovery in the game and it comes to any types of projectiles, because he is just moving his hands and feet really fast.

He's too slow in MvC2. Wolverine, Wolverine Alpha, Chun Li, Strider Hiryu, and many more dance circles around him. His special moves all have very fast recoveries, but his normal moves are slow.

Besides, I like Akuma more.

Dan i don't think people get that there is no choice in the matter so just give up...

Charlie is too slow, and that isn't up for negotiation. I take great offense to you knocking my vast Capcom game knowledge. I have MvC2, dammit, and his moves are too slow. I fight on the hardest difficulty, and Charlie can't keep up with the faster people. Ryu isn't that slow, anyways... I can keep up with Rogue (stupid twitchy thing) when I use him.

I have been into Capcom games a lot longer than you have, I am willing to bet, so don't you start to tell me what to think about the characters. If you think that Charlie is fast, I suppose you think that Dhalsim is quicker than Chun Li. Don't make me laugh. If you ever used Charlie in a crossover game, I certainly can't tell.

lol Danny boy fast characters is mvc2 die too quickly to do any real damage. All you have to do is a couple hyper moves and good-bye too the pixies. I don't know about you but a have played mostly all you SF even the original.

BTW Sorry to say but the arcade I went to had third strike and its was out in a month noone even touched it and this arcade has alot of experienced fighting gamers.

I've played every Street Fighter game that has come out now (even the countless SNES clones) up to the SFIII series (I'm looking for Dreamcast versions as we type). I have also played XMvSF, MSHvSF, MvC, MvC2, and CvSNK2. I have never played CvSNK before... I aim to find that game too.

Has anybody else ever played mugen. It's a 2D fully customable fighting game engine. Have you ever wanted to make your own character well to can with mugen. You can make your own version of an allready made character like make M.bision have his psycho crusher in SFA3. I has 2 on 2 in at the same time no tagging the new version due to come out very soon will have 3 on 3. It is great alot of great characters have been made. You can download hundreds of character and play them and it's all FREE!

Well, yes, actually, I do like Magneto. It is that Cyclops has already been chosen for the next Marvel-ish character. It'd be nice to have him in the game... but that will have to wait at least two months (Cyclops, then a SF character).
